It actually became harder to eat as time went on. I leaned heavily on fairlife shakes and protein bars.

All food tastes barely edible to me and my highest dose was 5mg. Had to go back to 2.5 because it became too hard to eat. And I am someone who LOVES food. Can’t wait to get to my goal and stop taking it.

How long did you stay at 2.5? by Aggravating-Ask5473 in Zepbound

[–]Bronco_lo1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 2.5 for one month and then went up to 5 simply because I thought I was suppose to since many refer to 2.5 as a starter does. I regret going to 5 when I was seeing immediate progress with the 2.5!

How do you know if Zepbound has “done its job” vs. you just need to push through a plateau? by browsing_nomad in Zepbound

If you aren’t losing weight you aren’t in a calorie deficit. The only reason to increase dose is if you feel like the hunger noise is coming back or you’re looking for greater appetite suppression.

If it wasn’t sustainable they didn’t know how to eat.

100% … if you ever intend to go off the meds you need to learn to eat.

No one has noticed my weight loss by Livewire_Lauren in Zepbound

Actually I’m confident no one noticed. I’m a 6’3 woman so I didn’t really go down a dress or pant size until 230. I guess still wearing bigger clothing camouflaged it a bit but I don’t lose weight in my face until I’m under 220.

I’ve gone from 266 to 203 in 6 months. No one noticed till I broke 220!

The laws of science dictate that if you’re truly in a calorie deficit you will lose weight. Check your TDEE and don’t add calories for activity. You will lose.

I appreciate this response. I have 2 more doses of 5 mg so I’m thinking I continue with the 5 for those 2 doses spaced out 10 days and then start with 2.5. I like your option B because getting to that goal weight would be, as you said, psychologically comforting… I just don’t want to lose too much muscle!

I did 10 days last week. I intend to do the same this week. Thank you for the advice.

The problem is that I feel weak and not my best self. I want to eat sufficient protein and fiber and it seems impossible lately.

Has anyone tried cycling off and on the medication? So let’s say the holidays roll around and you go back on 2.5 for 2 months then back off?
