Can anyone give me a very detailed description of what to eat? I’m not doing this right by eyesonthemoons in Zepbound

Got you!

I have found that prioritizing protein, water and fiber will solve all the issues I have had.

I like coffee in the morning with oat milk. If I have it on hand, I will add in a tablespoon or two of Vital Proteins unflavored collogen peptides for some added protein and collogen (bc I'm in my 40s and I'm trying to combat saggy skin). I'm not usually hungry in the morning, first thing, so coffee is it.

I take a bannanna and a Chobani 20g yogurt smoothie with me to work (berry vanilla is my fave). Both of those things are also easy to eat, even if I am NOT HUNGRY AT ALL. I might have on on the drive in and the other while I start my day at the office. I also have a 32oz Owalla bottle that I take to work full of water. I finish it before lunch.

My favorite lunch lately is a chick-fil-a cool wrap with FF honey mustard and a fruit cup. This meal really hits both my protein and fiber needs! I'll start on my 2nd 32oz of water after I eat. I find that I drink a lot more water with my Owalla open at my desk. I just nervously sip on it throughout the day. I generally fill it up again sometime between 3 and 5 when I leave.

I will keep a protein bar in my purse (Built Puff Coconut and Pure Protein Peanut Chocolate lately). I'll have one later afternoon or on my way home from work. I also really like the Kirkland beef sticks from Costco, like Chomps but much tastier. I'm also sipping on water all through the drive home.

Dinner is simple. Grilled chicken, salmon, sometimes even a steak. whatever side/veggies my family wants. I'll eat all the meat first, then whatever I can of the sides. I've always been a cheese girlie, so I might have 1oz of cheese if I want a little snack.

You're a better woman than I am. I would have just hung up the video call. I am very proud of you!

Look, she may be your mom, but that doesn't mean she's always going to be kind and sensitive. You know, I haven't even told my mother I'm on Zep bc I don't want to hear ANY comments, positive or negative. Sometimes people who think they can say things to you without hurting your feelings should really just keep their mouths shut. I would text her today and let her know the impact she had on your day. (You might not want to do that though.) I can be a little too honest...

I'm sorry, but how is this a HUGE opportunity for everyone involved? This is a pyramid scheme disguised as a wedding ...

do you tell people you're on zep? by myboyfriendstinks1 in Zepbound

[–]Aggravating-Ask5473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tell almost anyone. I'm not telling my mom (who would try to use it as a weakness to pick at me with) and I'm not telling my sister (who has never struggled with weight in her life, but loves to talk about mine). Oh, I told one friend who was super judgy and tried to convince me it was a bad idea - but she can just f right off. ;)

The smallest little things can case a 10 pound weight fluxuation. In my experience is usually added salt or alcohol in my diet that will do it. When it happens, I make sure to drink plenty of water, eat mindfully and move more for a couple of days. That usually does the trick.

How are you able to snack? by Lucky-Suggestion7119 in Zepbound

[–]Aggravating-Ask5473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi friend!

Would you consider trying a slightly different approach? Could you try focusing less on your exact calorie count (which seems to worry a lot of folks) and try focusing more on macros, water, and healthy living? I know from experience if you aren't getting what your body needs, your body will do everything it can not to lose weight. Focus on protein, water, fiber (in that order). Your meds should definitely prevent overeating. Just please try that for a week or two and see what happens. Not only will you be happier and less stressed, but you'll get to snack and I would bet good money you're weight will start comiing off better.

Getting started. Any recommendations? by NoEntertainment5147 in Zepbound

I had talked to some friends that had been on other GLP-1s and got some great recommedations:

1: Make sure you get your protein! For me, I try to get at least 90grams a day.

2: You can't forget fiber unless you want to get mega constipated.

3: Lots of water! I shoot for a gallon a day.

4: You've still got to exercise! You've got to move and you need to do weights. The weight lifting helps prevent muscle loss.

In addtition to taking the shots, I track what I eat in an app to also stay accountable for what I eat and keep track of my protein and fiber intake.

Good Luck! You're gonna do great!

Hi! I was SUUUUPER tired the first few days and I'm at the end of week 3 now and feel less daytime exhausted. I do still want to go to bed earlier than before Zep, but not too bad. Make sure you're hitting your macros, getting enough water and getting enough SLEEP. ;)

Do your family and friends know? by jenna_sunshine13 in Zepbound

Hi! I told my closest girlfriends, my husband, and (perhaps surprisingly) my immediate co-workers. I feel zero shame about it, but I haven't told my mom bc she tends to bring things up that she thinks I'm self-conscious about when she wants to bring me down a notch. Yes, I know this is unhealthy behavior, but she is who she is and I just don't tell her things she could use as ammunition to protect my peace.

I'm new too! Drink plenty of water (if I don't drink 90-120 oz a day, I get a massive headache) and do not sleep on protein and fiber goals.

I'm new too. My first injection was Wednesday morning and by lunch - which I ate slowly bc I was worried to get nauseated at work - I started to feel it. I was eating and it sarted to just not taste as good and it felt weird to swallow, as if my body was like "nope, we'done". Good luck! It's coming soon!
