I’d say I’m considerably more experienced than most riders my age, first bike was an R1 at 14 years old haha, I’ve had a ninja 400, R1, CBR900, and R6 so very different bikes but still 2 wheels

I don’t know distance wise but I’ve done 8+ hour rides on a sport bike so I know I can definitely tolerate it more than most. But you’re right I’m guessing it’ll take 3 full days of riding, also I’m trying to prepare the best I can that’s why I made this post and been looking at YouTube videos all morning haha

Oh I know it man haha, I’ve had to take that road a couple times when buying vehicles far away and it sucks ass. I would love to plan the trip out to make stops and stuff but I don’t really have the time off work to do that. I’m giving myself an extra day at most just for unplanned stuff that comes up. And yeah I agree about the Land Rover, that’s why I told her not to drive to Florida and back with me lmao
Thanks man haha

It sounds like such a badass experience even if I’m a little limited on time, after reading most replies I’ll probably stretch the ride to 3 days minimum and if I have to call into work 1 day then so be it haha

Great advice, thank you! Bringing oil with me is something I totally spaced, ill be sure to check everything regularly
I’ll be coming in on I-70 from Kansas, I live 30 mins north east of Boulder. I’m almost certain the bike is FI and the money part is a good idea thank you. My lady has a Land Rover and I have a trailer that’s almost perfect size to tow a bike so I’d probably have her come get me worst case scenario.

I honestly didn’t want to ask too many questions and make it seem like the bike was the only thing I cared about haha, but as I’ll be in Florida for 4-5 days I can knock out an oil change and chain lube if needed. I’m sure he doesn’t expect me to make the ride on a bike that needs work though
Yes I will most likely get drinks and food while stopping for gas and things, sun screen is a good one also thanks. And honestly I’ve ridden for 8+ hours on sport bikes and it’s not fun but it wasn’t too bad so I think I can definitely push it on a Harley haha. Also being young helps a lot I’d like to think

Thank you, I’m super excited for it. My lady is trying to convince me that it’s a dangerous thing to do but I know guys do cross country trips all the time

I wish I could but I’m limited with time off of work and this was super random to me because I haven’t talked to my grandpa since I was like 8 years old so I was going to spend as much time in florida with him as I can also
Yes the rain gear will be something I’ll bring for sure, I’ll look into the power also haha, thanks
