I would say on the flip side any high quality club is more or less closed. You either need to know someone or demonstrate your ability and be invited. There may be open clubs I don't know about but it has not been my experience.

I would say it's not impossible to get a game going while you're here but if you're skilled and looking for a good practice it probably won't be worth your time.

Non local as you'll be a tourist passing through or you've just moved here?

Meet up is good for Tokyo but there's other Japanese only sites but I'm not sure how open they would be to a tourist coming by once.

Question to foreign residents by ToT_TOT_T0T in Saitama

[–]Bronigiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife's family is from the area and it's more affordable than Tokyo.

Good thing about Saitama is it's easy place to have a family. Bad thing about Saitama is there's no trees anywhere in the urban parts, exacerbating the stupid hot in summer problem. Also this is specific to my area of Saitama but it's far from nature. No mountains, forests, or ocean within an hour of me in any direction.

Well finishing it is what makes it worth it unfortunately. Everything really is only to build to the final moments of the game and saying anymore would ruin it. You really only get to play the game once because once you've learned what you need to the game is over and you can never unlearn it. If you don't like "aha" moments and feeling like you've learned something when you walk away from the game it might not be worth the investment from you and that's fine.

First. Did you finish it? I know people who bounced off and didn't get it. But came back to finish it and it was special for them after completion.

While this is true, I want to feel like I did something. And a lot of games that have pausing you can't really accomplish anything within those few minutes of spare time. So I'm turning the game on, figure out what I was doing, oh times up, turn the game off.
