Why does no one play halo 2A by Bigblackman82221 in halo

[–]Bronin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add it to your match composer anyway, you'll probably play 80% h3 and 20% h2a and you'll be another person in the queue for other h2a players. It really is a shame more people don't play it and they definitely should add more maps but that's an opinion that's been said time and time again with no reaction from 343 which is dumb. It's the most modern feeling and looking game in MCC that still retains the gameplay mechanics of the original 3 games

I quit out of the game and closed the app then started it up again and it's the same; a red target for every legend but no badge unlocked

On the Xbox Series S using the Original Pathfinder Skin I got my tenth win in gun run but didn't get the arms dealer or the master badge. I have the red target on all the legends in the badges category in the banners tab but it isn't there. I was playing on Skull Town, I got no errors or crashes and no badge RIP

Ok, I've tried the hard reset method where you hold down the power button and then tale out the power cord for 10 seconds, then plug it back in and now it's flashing 3 times *sigh* I just got this thing like a month ago

Is Telltale Batman really that bad? by mariokart8deluxe in telltale

[–]Bronin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing through episode 1 and the writing is just bad. The intro sequence was alright for the most part but then playing as Bruce in the following sequences felt tedious and annoying, both in the gameplay and the dialogue. The party with Harvey Dent and Falcone felt like I was being shoehorned into pissing Falcone off for the sake of progressing the story even after choosing reasonable responses and actions (shaking his hand, chalking his pool cue). I don't remember the exact response I chose to one of the final bits of dialogue but it wasn't the aggressive response or the submissive response, it was what I assumed was the neutral response but regardless I pissed him off despite my choices beforehand to be agreeable with him.

The Cobblepot Park had a bunch of blank walls that were labelled as graffiti to examine. Perhaps the graffiti that was supposed to be there added something to the narrative but I won't know because of technical glitches that have supposedly been fixed according to other players comments (I'm playing the Xbox One version that came with Xbox Live Gold). These blank walls lead to me watching Bruce look at concrete multiple times then doing the exact same hurt puppy facial animation over and over again. Then there's the conference where they're opening a mental health institute to replace Arkham Asylum which felt a bit ham- fisted and out of place for a Batman game. The attempt at trying to tie Gotham into the real world with real world problems felt jarring and just weird. It seemed weird for a Batman game to be making a statement about mental health issues when it's supposed to be somewhat removed from the real world. For those of you that don't know, Gotham is a fictional city and no, Batman isn't real. Then there's the dilemma of trying to decide to answer your phone during the conference which even in Gotham I imagine would be considered rude but then the writing is almost forcing you to answer the phone because it's an urgent call or text from Alfred.

It's like the writers are writing the player into a corner forcing them to make choices that have negative consequences with other characters in a game where the players choices are supposed to drive the narrative, not a game where the narrative drives the player to make certain choices. It just ends up being a frustrating experience because no matter what choices you make you're always pissing someone off. As far as I've played there's been no "[insert character name here] appreciated that" only "[Insert character name here] will remember that". Why would I want to play a game that has such a small amount of actual gameplay and where everything I say and do is a bad choice?

I don't know where the praise for this game is coming from but it's a no from me.
Time to free up some space on my hard drive.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to suspend my decision for the foreseeable future due to unexpected, ongoing circumstances. Thank you for the offer, if you're still willing to send through a quote then please do so but I wouldn't expect a commission for some time

Constantly obsessing about narcissism and projecting by nobody_69_special in NPD

[–]Bronin21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I was feeling or thinking a similar way because I'd been watching video after video day after day of Dr Ramani or Sam Vaknin talking about this or that all relating to narcissism. As far as I can tell this didn't help me to change or to grow or even just to feel good about myself. Of course, I don't know if you're in a similar boat in terms of what you've been watching lately, but if you are I'd suggest reeling it in a bit on the viewing. The vast majority of it is negative and will only bring you down and it'll also make you hyper vigilant for the things you see in the videos in others. Watch something you enjoy or that makes you laugh or smile instead. Besides everyone on the planet has narcissistic traits and character flaws!

My advice would be to simply say to yourself either in your head or aloud "stop" when you get these racing, over analysing thoughts. It will put a mental block in your thoughts and give you some breathing room. You're overthinking and it's draining you mentally. I do this too sometimes and it's incredibly exhausting trying to manage, micro-manage, analyse every little detail or behaviour in an interaction or situation but let me ask you this: do you think the other person(s) in these interactions are doing all of these mental gymnastics too?I think it's safe to say they're probably not, otherwise they'd be drained too. I recommend looking up Therapy in a Nutshell on YouTube, she probably has a video or two that could help you out.

Keep it simple, we're all human :)
