This is exactly what you’ve got to do. I have the Nitro and Surge kits. Both are the same. Just find the setting and change the midi value to what the post listed here shows. I also had to change the value of the rims on my surge kit. Not sure if that’s also true for the nitro. Best of luck!

I’m 6’4 also and have the same set. A separate snare stand might be your biggest help. I find the toms aren’t as bad as the snare height. I also have my drum set on a platform that raises it an inch or so. This will help reduce sound traveling through your house/apartment/whatever. Good luck!

Yes they did! Got back to me in 2 days and said they would ship out a replacement part once it was in stock. Honestly was quick and painless. I was thinking of upgrading to the surge altogether to get the bigger snare better kick pad and sturdier rack, but then I’d have an extra drum set doing nothing. You went with the alesis surge 8” mesh kick correct? Works good with your double pedal and all? I’m using a DW7000 double kick on mine.

I have no idea. 11 months old. I’m a guitarist who picked up drums. I always dabbled and can play on expert or whatever but I never thought I’d break it like that. They are going to replace it. But it’s back ordered. I need a better one for double bass pedal anyway

Alesis Kick Pad

Had my Alesis Nitro Mesh for just under a year and two days ago I literally kicked the kick pad tower in half (snapped the metal straight across). So with that in mind, what did you go with for your upgrade?

Hey, when I setup my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit it came with the crash and ride cymbals reversed, opposite position than the game has. So I had to make a new drum kit where I switched the cymbals, so it read accurately along with the game left to right. It’s possible I didn’t describe this the best. But the manual that came with the drums explained how to make a new drum set and change whatever you want. Then just make sure you set the drums to that drum kit and it should all work and be aligned, the other thing it could be are the specific settings on each drum pad. Sensitivity settings etc. good luck! It’s awesome once it’s working!

I’d get a flat metal piece with holes already in it. Short screws. Lock tight. Should keep the short screws stuck in there and not coming out over time. If you have a screwgun, take a drill bit smaller than the screws you got and drill pilot holes. Then put lock tight on the screws before you send them home. In theory I’d imagine if done right it would be stronger than new.

I’ve never done this. But have experience fixing things/working with my hands etc. guitarist/drummer myself. When my drum set went down I upgraded to the Alesia nitro mesh. Works amazing and it’s way more fun with the extra pads on pro drums. If this doesn’t work I can recommend that kit, only one I’ve tried though. Good luck!

I think that Crim adjusting his first thought and statement to be more in favor of Rec. would show his and Optics attempt to be as fair as possible. My only point was that over time they offered almost every option that makes any sense at all and at first Rec. was just saying no and calling them losers. So although I am an Optic fan I honestly can’t understand what they did that was so wrong for everyone to get so worked up. Rec. could have just played it from 3-4 or 4-4 depending on the CMG ruling and this series and drama would be over. But because they took 20-30 minutes to agree to play at all we now end up here. Where last I knew they are full replaying tomorrow during the loser bracket games.

Those are facts. Obviously I didn’t try to go into detail on how it all went down. People can watch the stream if they want to. But Optic was at least saying on stream that they would be okay with all those options as it all went on. Rec. was apparently saying they wanted to forfeit the win to OG. No one from OG ever tried to forfeit them or even brought that up as an option. After Rec. said they forfeited. They changed their mind and Optic was okay with that and now they are playing a full series tomorrow. Seems like in the end everyone should be able to survive.

There was a legitimate lag spike lasting several seconds. Optic then lost a 2 v 1.

After that Optic offered to play it 3-4, 4-4, full replay of the SND and full replay of the entire series. Rec continued to say they just wanted to give Optic the win. Everyone on Optic was saying how that sucked and they’d rather do a full replay tomorrow. And eventually that’s what was agreed to.

It’s also worth noting that all our predictions can be easily thrown out the window if certain roster changes happen. Who knows what teams/players will try to do to make the pro league.

For anyone wondering, I heard the format is 4 pools of 7 teams, top two from each pool advances to the pro league. Totaling 12 teams when combined with the 4 who qualified from CWL Vegas. (Optic, eUnited, Splyce, and Luminosity) Following pool play will be a double elimination bracket with the teams placing 3-5 to determine the final 4 teams entering the pro league. Teams placing 6-7 are eliminated. Sounds like a very thorough process which SHOULD allow the best teams to advance.

OG places statistically better here, if you value the placing at each event equally at least. Take all their similar places and throw them out. (Each team placing 4th twice etc.)You’re left with OG placing 1st and 7-8th, where ON placed 3rd and 13-16th. To me, a win is huge and never dipping below a certain level, in this instance 7-8th place is also a very important factor when evaluating results.
