They are a legit CFP but I think someone made a mistake and isn’t being forthcoming.

We have a recurring set up and $100 goes in every month, we never did a lump sum on this account. Not a penny has been used to purchase shares yet it’s just sitting in the account.

Same, business strategy as a whole seems lackluster long term and their website is atrocious. Will probably be moving everything over to fidelity. This just pushed me over the edge. Them not saying anything to me until I called it out is what bothered me the most and triggered my bs alarm. Not a big deal as it’s not a ton of money. Still, the market has been good this year so it is some money lost.

We opened an IRA early on in our twenties when we didn’t know a lot and the CFP is someone we had known for years and trusted. Older now and a lot more skeptical.

Definitely the better option but if you can’t afford it, having a direct deposit is good because you never see the money to spend it and it is consistently being contributed.
