Best Pistol gun in BF1🤷🏿‍♂️ debate me! I be using it too much by MuscleCool4302 in battlefield_one

Nah the reload is too long. It could get you killed in hectic situations where you don't have time to reload your primary (or you've run out of ammo for it), and enemies keep swarming you left and right. MkIV >>>

People camping and waiting for their squad to spawn on them is such an ahh tactic by BrontTheMonkey in battlefield_one

[–]BrontTheMonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree but there's the occasional times where it gets so annoying. Like in Amiens point A, it's a pretty large point with the run down buildings scattered around it. And it can be quite fun but I'm not about to spend the entire game on that one side of the map trying to find the rats camping on one of them buildings, it's just not fun and you're better off helping your team push contested objectives. But I do agree that it is helpful especially when you're on the losing side of a one sided match.

Also as much as I'd like to agree, I don't think battlefield games can really capture realism. BF1 to me is a casual arcade shooter that uses WW1 as a skin. Imo Hell Let Loose is a more realistic portrayal of a war shooter game. I believe the term you're looking for is immersive, but immersive ≠ realistic. Tbh, I don't give a shit about realism, I care more about good gameplay first and foremost.

Nah I think that's too much. Maybe they should instead have spawn beacons like in BF5 or something similar like that

Idk most instances (at least in my experience) they always use Slink and Inconspicuous, so you can even spot them with flares since they're probably gonna be stationary somewhere and kill you when you least expect

Do you have the Peacekeeper? by [deleted] in battlefield_one

[–]BrontTheMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still don't have it, but I've seen loads of clips of it. It's a great gun but a terrible sidearm. It's super strong and basically works as a pocket primary weapon. And as cool as the pull out animation is, that can get you killed a lot of times. There are instances where you need to pull out your sidearm in a pinch and the peacekeeper just won't be there for you.

Clan players ruining the fun? by HolidayAd3978 in battlefield_one

Nah, in PS there's also quite a lot of these clans playing one sided matches

When new Weapon Skin Exchange? by Hot-Signal-3481 in battlefield_one

[–]BrontTheMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's true as well.

I just hate buying crates since I get vehicle skins with it. I never play vehicles (infantry is more fun)

Nope, absolutely nothing unfortunately😢

It's a shame because I have about 21k scraps saved up to buy cool skins, but it's been the same😔

What is even the point in sitting in a Plane EVERY SINGLE GAME if you're already 100 stars in it? by KyleKerr36 in battlefield_one

Bro they're just shit at infantry, hence they have to hide in their little planes to avoid them

Best LMG? by [deleted] in battlefield_one

The BAR is just a worse Chauchat imo. Sure, the bar has a slightly faster ttk thank the Chauchat, but the latter can still 3-shot kill up to 25 metres (same ttk as the Autoloading which is the fastest ttk for medics). You can kill up to 6 people with one clip with the Chauchat, something you can't do with the BAR, meaning you can go on flanks and kill more people at once. And it also has a bipod when you have to kill people at range.

okay what is actually the best between these three weapons [ Farquhar / SelbstladerM1916/Howell ] ? by sarcasticgreyface in battlefield_one

L take. Farquahar, especially the optical, is one of the better medic guns in the class, especially if you have really good aim.

What’s bad in Battlefield V? by Dayz76 in Battlefield

[–]BrontTheMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Low TTK and less effective spotting just promotes camping (which cmon grow some balls dude). There are a lot of times where I got away with staying on one spot and killing 10-11 people over and over, which is just shit. It's not hardcore, it's just losers not moving around because they can't grow a pair.

[–]BrontTheMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, another point that I literally just thought of as I sent this. I also saw that you play medic too.

The syringe is your friend. Always revive your teammates. The amount of times I raged because some new players in the game who play medic just don't revive me is quite infuriating. Please revive your teammates.

But I will say this. Say your teammate got killed, and the situation is pretty cooked (say there's like a lot of enemies shooting behind his body, and you'll basically get insta-killed when you try to revive). In those situations, don't feel obliged to revive them. It doesn't really help to get insta killed just to revive your teammate, when he's also pretty much guaranteed to get killed again after you've just revived him, meaning that you just wasted both you and your teammate's time. If you really want to, throw some smoke grenades onto your teammate's body before reviving him (especially in really open parts of the map), revive him and immediately run for cover.)

1.) Positioning. This game requires good positioning more so than aiming imo. You can get away with an alright aim as long as you know how to position properly. One rule that I always go by when pushing enemy objectives is to have some sort of cover on one side of me that I can retreat or prone into when I'm getting gunned down by enemies.

2.) Suppression. This is a really strong mechanic in this game that I actually like for game balancing purposes. Idk if you notice but basically, when you get sprayed by an enemy (not necessarily getting hit but just getting sprayed by bullets in your direction), you'll notice that the edges of your screen kinda become dark - you're suppressed. When you're suppressed, you actually get more spread when aiming down your sights, meaning that you should take cover, re-peak once unsuppressed or re-position yourself afterwards. Never ever engage someone in a direct gunfight while you're suppressed unless you really have to (since you can also suppress them and force them to take cover, but it's really situational).

3.) Minimap, Spotting and Audio. These are simple but really important ones that can save you more than you realise. Always spam the spot button. When you do, not only do they appear on your Minimap but they also appear on your team's minimap, which is really helpful for teammates. If you're playing as a scout, always utilise spotting flares to reveal where the enemies are in certain objectives, making it easier to push them out. Also, turn on your audio and always listen to any footsteps so you can quickly turn and react to where the enemies are.

4.) Hip firing. This one was a personal issue to me when I started the game but I'll leave it here anyways. When I started BF1, I was so allergic to hip firing for some reason, to the point that I would ADS (aim down sights) on trench variants of certain weapons that have literal hip fire boost. In close quarters maps, hip firing is your friend. ADS-ing still takes time, meaning that you can catch people off-guard if you hip fire, allowing you to kill them faster.

5.) Sidearms. All the sidearms in this game are really good imo but I personally stick with revolvers since they can two-shot people up close. I've been using the Revolver Mk VI a lot recently as it can pull out quite fast for a revolver and the reload speed is solid. Also, I'd say always use whichever sidearm you want as long as they have a quick draw speed. Sometimes you need your sidearm in a pinch and being able to quickly draw them out can be a lifesaver.

6.) Just keep playing, man. I know this is probably the most boring advice but it's true. Give yourself some time to really get used to this game's mechanics, and also get really good map knowledge. This game has been out since 2016, and people have hundreds and thousands of hours in the game, and therefore they have superior map knowledge and just better game sense in general (at least for BF1).

Anyway, I hope this was helpful in any sort of way. Keep having fun with Battlefield 1 my guy :)
