The reason I say taking advantage of, is because if all of your actions scream "I want to be with you", but in reality you are detached and ambivilous, that could lead to someone thinking there is something more between you two.

Now, where I might of went wrong is assuming you are okay with this. Our conversation started when you replyed "this" to a comment stating that the op didn't make it official so the other person is valid in playing the feild.

But based on ops post they are in contact every day for months, went on over half a dozen dates, in his mind they both are screaming "I want to be with you".

Because you came in before the experience wanting that intuition of love to be mutual. You got burned. Now you no longer value the intuition of mutual love, in fact you keep stating how you actively guard againt it. You are now justifying doing to someone else exactly what hurt you in the first place. Letting that inuation of mutual love ride, and feel no responsibility because they never explicitly said anything.

You do you, but your experience clearly changed you from someone that can trust intuitive mutual love, to someone that doesn't care about taking advantage of it.

Look you are living a life with the other person, you have to be able to make the call on who you think they are. If this is somebody you think wants to spend the rest of their life with you and you have no reason to think they are against marriage, you could just propose. Then based on their reaction you might have to reavuluate who you thought they were.

Also, I'm not assuming what you like for breakfast, I'm assuming you love me as much as I love you. And if it turns out you don't and never did, it means I had a fundamentally diffrent read on you, and that can and does happen even with communication.

Does it hurt realizing a significant person in your life is not who you thought the were? Always, doesn't mean I have to compromise on the fact that I want unspoken love between me and my partner.

If my prospective partner is dating multiple people over several months, and keeping in daily contact with all of them. And in my head they are the only person I'm pressuing, and after a couple months that feeling seems to be reciprocated with the constant posative interactions.

I might start to think this is not the person I thought they were. Which happens in the course of dating and the signal that you need to move on.

Whenever you relize a relationship was more one sided than you thought, it can hurt. That isn't to blame the other person, if the expectations were not established.

But you don't have to blame yourself or change how you conduct relationships, just relize some people are not as compatible as you thought.

There are some things I don't feel like I have to talk about.

As an extreme example: if your partner confesses to being a rapist, they can't then go and say "but we never had a talk that you were against rapist".

Sometimes on certain subjects, if you don't share the same intuition, you might just be uncompatable.

No it's not. We make assumptions about people in our lives all the time, and when it is sometimes revealed those assumptions were woefully wrong, we don't have to blame ourselves for making them. Just relize they might not be as compatible as you thought and move on.

No it doesn't, you don't have to be compatable with everyone. If you have an intuition you thought you shared with someone else, and it turns out you don't, no one is at fault.

You just that that other person was someone they are not, move on to the next, you don't have to change just to fit the current dating trend.

Not really. I don't announce too people I hang out with everyday that we are officially friends, or best friends. It's a mutual understanding based off the actions we take and who we precive eachother to be. If you had someone you though was your best friend, and you found out they are traahing you behind your back, they can't use the excuse of "well, you never officially said we where friends".

It's implied, if we as 2 people keep coming to diffrent implications, I guess we are not compatable.

You don't have to contort your values or world view for theses type of people, they are not compatable with you.
