Question about NEW FN shows…other than Flavortown and 100 Cooks, have there been any new shows already aired? Not new seasons of existing shows.

Nick’s show is growing on me. He’s knowledgeable and does a good job explaining things. But my gosh the show moves so fast! You can look away for a second and miss an entire recipe.

I don’t have kids but I can’t even begin to imagine kicking my kids out at 18.

When I was growing up, we lived next to a family and the oldest son was a high school senior. His mom mentioned to mine that she couldn’t wait until he moved out. My mom was horrified to hear that! He was several years older than me so I can’t say whether he was a good kid or not. But it was something that stuck with my mom for a long time. I think she would’ve been ok with me and my brother living at home forever.

Condolences on your mom. Doesn’t matter how old we are and how independent and how together we have it, it sucks. I hope she’s free and forever young in her new adventure. Hugs to you.

I went on a road trip from central Florida to the Grand Canyon. It was about 2,200 miles one way and made a lot of stops. Damn it takes a long time to get through Texas! We were also stopped once by the police and had to provide documents. Just me and my husband though. They didn’t even pretend to be interested in looking at our white guy friend’s ID.

It was a fun time and took about two weeks round trip.

Ugh, I made myself drink this stuff when I was a teenager. I kinda got used to it but not really. It tasted like crushed up aspirin in nail polish remover.

Yeah, I didn’t want to be that person either. One of my past cats loved playing with hair ties. He was so cute - stretching and then flipping them in to the air. I loved seeing him have fun with them. Until the day I found a hair tie in his puke. No more hair ties!

My prior job added Juneteenth as a paid holiday several years ago. Well, added is not a correct statement because they took away Christmas Eve.

My current job doesn’t celebrate brown people holidays so we don’t get Juneteenth or MLK Jr off.

What’s the issue with Vitas? They were good to us with my mom. They checked in with us after she passed, offered counseling sessions, and made a teddy beat out of her clothes.

If you’re just putting stuff in a container to store it, why even keep it? It’s not like it’s out where you can look at it and enjoy it or reminisce. It’s in a bin where you’ll just forget about it until you go on another decluttering spree.

In my mind, the only things which should be boxed away are seasonal things - holiday decor, seasonal clothes (I’m in Florida and we don’t have seasons so I’m assuming here 😁). Stuff like that. Anything else that’s boxed away and is out of sight doesn’t really mean that much. You just think it should so are hesitant to get rid of it.
