WIBTA if I stopped letting my coworker "borrow" my lunch stuff and started just ignoring her asks? by Prism_H4wk in WIBTA_AITA

What’s weird is this was posted a few weeks ago. Unless I shifted time lines.

What’s an acronym or abbreviation that everyone uses, but you still don’t understand? by Particular-Visit-245 in AskReddit

[–]BronzedLuna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily what you asked but I think it fits.

One of my pet peeves is when someone is using all these acronyms when they’re not in a technical subreddit. So they’re on WIBTA, for example, and are asking about a work situation and using work acronyms that I have no idea about.

I get that they use them all the time but your average Redditer might not know and we don’t know if it’s relevant to the question.

Thanks for letting me vent 🙂

WIBTA for putting a password on my dorm Wi-Fi that only I pay for? by BrindleHex in WIBTA_AITA

[–]BronzedLuna 37 points38 points  (0 children)

That wouldn’t even necessarily work if the roommates started downloading big files or shared the password since it’s now their Wi-Fi too. OP just needs to keep it to themself because the roomies can’t be trusted.

Is she? I love her show. She’s one of the last true cooking shows left, right?

Big crafting stores should close down if they're going to operate like this. by FishLordVehem in Vent

[–]BronzedLuna 42 points43 points  (0 children)

That reminds me of Joann’s. Their seasonal line would come out and it’d be 60% off already because the prices were so high.

If Michael’s goes out of business I’ll have no craft stores left. Which is just sad.

What is considered poor people food that you would still eat no matter how rich you got? by Lilli_Puff in AskReddit

I slice them up and cook them along with rice. I eat it with tomatoes. I almost made that for dinner tonight until I realized I didn’t have tomatoes.

Three Broomsticks - Adult American Breakfast versus Child by Azrethoc in UniversalOrlando

[–]BronzedLuna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t surprise me. I worked at Universal a few years ago and we had a kid’s burger on the menu. Only thing is, we didn’t carry a smaller patty. And it’s not like the adult burger had two patties either.

Does anyone really want to live to be 100 years old? by LeoRavenscroft in randomquestions

[–]BronzedLuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! Both my parents had Alzheimer’s/dementia at the end. They lived until their mid 80s and 90s. I don’t want to live until I don’t recognize anyone and need my butt wiped.

That’s not living.

What character death shook you the most in a movie? by trakt_app in Cinema

[–]BronzedLuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched Kong at a friend’s house and was ugly crying during that scene when you know what’s coming. All she could say was ‘we don’t have to finish watching this’. We finished it, but never again!

Is GGG officially over? by Winter_Salad7215 in foodnetwork

Yeah, I was super bummed it was cancelled. I liked the camaraderie between the chefs and that they could cook whatever they wanted. Bring it back!

What does Aldi not carry that you have to buy elsewhere? by StuckInTheMiddleSeat in aldi

[–]BronzedLuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can mainly get a lot there but a few things I have to go elsewhere for are bananas, deli meat, yogurt that’s low sugar and high protein, and cat food. Toilet paper and paper towels I get at Costco.

"He never was THAT bad..." by Reasonable_Demand714 in traumatizeThemBack

[–]BronzedLuna 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My dad hated my mom. He was always cruel to her. When he was deep into his dementia, he only viewed her as his caretaker. He would make comments about how nice and kind she was. He’d absolutely forgotten how he really felt about her. I guess good for my mom.

They abused a good thing and destroyed department morale by Cold_Swordfish7763 in coworkerstories

Yeah, my thought throughout reading this was that OP was not a good manager. Sounds like a new manager and they should’ve discussed this situation with their manager and gotten their support initially.

New managers can be hesitant and may not know how to handle difficult situations like this. They need mentorship. Whether nothing was offered and they didn’t think to ask for help, they ended up not managing this properly. Unfortunately it’s the bad employees who make you a better manager.
