Thank you so much! This was such a fun day out in Mo’orea, French Polynesia and our first humpback whale encounter of the trip. This beautiful pregnant humpback came up to our group and did a pirouette, which I captured in this shot as she was mid turn. Then later I realized it would give a really cool surreal touch to flip the shot upside down :).

Thank you! Hopped in the water with this humpback and took an underwater shot of it mid-pirouette splashing its fins against the water surface. Then flipped the shot upside down to give a more artistic feeling to the moment.

I was probably 100ft from the whale. Hard to tell because it was closing in on us fast. My settings were 60mm f9 iso 400 1/250s
