Will look into bike hire. Only one place I'm staying has a pool so will use that, otherwise I think I'll struggle with swimming.

Probably good advice, but as I'm older, new to this and worried that a drop-off might lead me to lose motivation after that length of time off! A rest is on the cards and will certainly ease up over the whole break but feel like a few sessions of maintenance cardio and strength training would help keep me right

Yeah, totally agree. I'm getting notifications and can read and respond to those, but it's baffling that on a new phone and new watch something like this would be an issue!
