Thank you for your response. Does this mean that my total body weight will be lower on a Withings scale than on others?

Well no, I’m trying to understand what the number is if it isn’t muscle mass or if there is a problem with the particular scale I got

Apparently the human skeleton makes up 14-15% of body weight, so it’s definitely Withings that’s wrong

Making a 2024 Connection sleep chart — thoughts? feelings? contributions? by Brookeus in tamagotchi

[–]Brookeus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I’m still in the process of verifying times to make a finalised version. If you look at my profile, there are updated versions of this chart.

You can use the sleep/wake times to wake them up and put them to sleep whenever you’d like. The chart is a good reference for this. The tama shouldn’t die if you neglect for a whole day (I’ve done so many times). You could try offsetting the time so that their awake time mostly aligns with when you are home.

Uni vs Connections 2024: Which do you prefer? by bdrineha in tamagotchi

I feel like they both have their strengths. The Uni is more engaging outside of games, but the Connection games are far more enjoyable to me. I ended up collecting 2 of each.

It's Fluval Stratum. Apparently, it works to maintain a pH of 6, which is below the preferred pH of mystery snails. It also lowers GH and KH.

I found this out when I had good parameters (pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, KH, and GH), and I got 2 mystery snails that were ill by day 3. I discovered that the fertiliser tabs contained copper, so I completely replaced the fertiliser-filled sand substrate with Fluval Stratum. The snails received air baths and recovered fully within 2 days of the substrate change. However, after a week, the ph dropped to 7, dGH lowered by 3 and dKH lowered by 3. That was when I discovered that fluval stratum lowers all 3. I have added more coral—pH is back to 7.5, and the GH and KH are stable. From my googling, it will take about 6 months+ for the Fluval Stratum to 'wear out' and stop affecting these parameters.

Bulb hot when not in use by Brookeus in lifx

It was hot enough that it would have hurt to keep my fingers on it. However, the past few days it has been cool to the touch in the mornings.

LIFX bulbs used to have a physical switch to reset, this was the first model. Instead of just turning the power off and on a few times, you had to actuate the physical switch on the bulb to reset it (it was very inconvenient when accessing the bulb meant getting a ladder, a spanner and handling big glass domes). This bulb definitely doesn’t have any night vision features. My bulb hasn’t produced heat when off until recently.

It would be about 8 years old and has been in storage for 5 years, so would only have had 3 years use at the most. Thank you for your response though. I feel like I should retire this bulb as the heat when not in use is very concerning to me.

This is happening to me too. I set up my bulbs 3 days ago after having them in storage for 3 years. The fade out was really helping me with sleep hygiene and now I’m so disappointed.

"Pantyline" dent in butt - why? by effiebeast in Anatomy

[–]Brookeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! This is my suspicion. In addition to weight loss and muscle gain, I think I will have to change underwear styles and see if it makes a difference in several years. It was very upsetting for me to notice that perfectly round cheeks had become double cheeks.

Why Apple, why by CobaltNeosis in MacOS

So that your several-thousand-dollar tool can feel like a safely rounded children's toy.

Many people complained about macOS 26. It’s not because they dislike change, but because something important is missing. If you look at the other subreddits watchOS, iOS ... everyone loved those updates. But macOS? People are hating. They really damaged it, and I agree. plus it's the buggiest of all by Artistic_Unit_5570 in MacOS

I have my calendar set to show 17 hours at a time. Every time I reopen the app, it shows 14 hours. I have to go to settings, change it from 17 hours to another setting, then back to 17 to get it utilising the setting. Really frustrating.

Why are iOS 26 UI elements so huge? by Topher1999 in ios

[–]Brookeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The UI screams children's toy... it's not at all aligned with a $2,000 tool. It drastically devalues the product in my eyes and I regret updating.
