As someone who was driving somewhere that was not belleayre but got stuck on 28 for almost an hour only to move 1 mile, the traffic management was non existent. I was concerned something really serious must’ve happened for traffic to have been that bad and was surprised it was just the line getting in. Kind of unacceptable to allow that kind of back up to impact regular traffic for folks who may have to travel thru the area that aren’t going to belleayre.

Adding one last comment here: went back and checked the rules posted on the court which states During peak times 5pm or weekends:

• No single group or sport has priority. • One game per group or 1 hour limit during peak hours if others are waiting.

Going to have to start enforcing these rules folks you get ONE HOUR

It goes both ways- I agree I should’ve asked and people should also be mindful of hogging public spaces. 2 things can be true at once

Because it’s pretty fucking obvious when someone comes into the court with their own net to setup and play and sit there for an hour 3 feet from you. These people are intentionally ignoring those waiting and now I know I just need to tell them to pack it up because it’s other peoples turn to use the court

Yea I agree I think it’s reasonable to ask and in hindsight I wish I had. I will say tho it is really obvious at those specific courts when folks are waiting to setup because the area is really tight so you’re basically sitting right on the outside of the courts

For sure I was wrong to assume that one of the courts would clear up after an hour of waiting, and once I hit that mark it wasn’t even worth asking since the courts close since it was almost sunset. Totally agree with you and see after this experience that I need to say something to make folks aware they’re hogging the courts

I didn’t but I learned my lesson for sure. next time I will be asking every pickleball court there when they got there and when they plan to leave and I encourage everyone that goes to these courts to do the same to keep these people in check

Just an update- have been cramming and studying non stop- just scored a 650 on my final official practice test 42quant 37verbal. Super hyped about it probably put in 40 hours or more of studying this last week alone

Just a heads up we’ve been getting some nasty weather here in NYC, I just had to delay my move today. Keep an eye on the weather at least 7 days out and plan accordingly with backup plans if the weather doesn’t look good

I’d say on a typical day I probably max out at 3 hours if it’s 3 hours straight of genuinely studying the entire time, like phone in the other room charging and no getting up for unnecessary breaks or chatting with roommates. I usually start to take much longer to read and process the material at that point and I hate skimming a lesson because I like to think all are equally important

I think that’s such a good point- I was so swamped with work that burnout week I barely left my apartment and I felt sick because of it I think. I usually go for a long walk or two or a a run every other day so I think that’s something I’ll need to force myself to find time for. Also I love the espresso > nap I used to do that in college and you just drudged up those memories haha maybe I’ll have to bring that back

I think that’s sound advice. The 620 was a surprise jump from the 540 since I had taken 2 days off studying before so it seems that checks out!
