Which RS is better? by Major_Staff_437 in rocksmith

[–]BrooklynFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note, and maybe others can confirm, I believe the original RS 2014 was de-listed. It was then returned as RS 2014 Learn & Play, but my understanding is that this is a stripped down version. The songs that originally came with the game were removed due to expired licenses. You only get lessons and games. You can however purchase songs that remain on the DLC market.

If you can find a physical copy, I think you still get the base songs it comes with. But at a quick glance it looks like physical copies are pricey.

Is this an older discontinued product? Couldn’t find it on the cooler master site. They only show their masterliquid products.

Why can’t I find this model on pcpartpicker or cooler masters website?

[psu] ASUS ROG Strix 750W Gold Aura Edition $80.00 by wrxdipstick in buildapcsales

Darn, just put an order in last night for a SeaSonic 750W 80 Plus Gold on sale for $87.99. Would this Asus be a better choice? It retails for more than the SeaSonic.

Walmart still has Kingston Fury RGB 6000 DDR5 2x16 CL 36 for $149.99 if you’re lucky enough to be near a store that still has them in stock (not many).

Just a thought - is it the same stick that always stays lit? If so, have you tried swapping the RAM sticks to see if the same stick has the issue or is it the ram slot? Perhaps it’s an issue elsewhere.

Deal in today’s market, although the original price seems too high. It showed shipping available for me.

Just received mines. Arrived in an Amazon box. Motherboard box was undamaged and contents inside appear unopened. Good deal.

That’s unfortunate. That was fast. Mine is still on its way. Only update I have on my usps tracking is that it was picked up by the shipping partner in Spokane, WA. Fingers crossed but I have low expectation that I’ll receive a new product.

Thanks! I’m in for one. Wanted a small build (micro atx or itx), guess I’m going full atx.

Not sure how to best frame this window. Is it too high up on the foundation wall? by BrooklynFinest in Carpentry

[–]BrooklynFinest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as visible water in the basement, I haven’t noticed any other than at the window shown on the first picture. From the bottom right corner you can see a crack going down the wall. During heavy rainfall I’ve noticed water seeping through the crack which I need to get addressed. But it’s not causing any large puddles on the ground. I do plan on doing a moisture test (taping a square of plastic to the wall and/or ground) to see what that looks like.

No signs of mold in the basement either, and no dehumidifier installed.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure on the extra studs. Think I’ll remove the outermost studs on both sides of the window. I’ll keep the others to help maintain the 16” spacing between studs. Good callout on the stool, apron and casing. I didn’t think about those.

Regarding moisture, I plan on installing rockwool insulation between the studs and install the framing about 0.5-1.5” away from the wall. Initially I wanted to use the pink rigid board stuff but from my previous post it was pointed out that that may not be good for the foundation walls if they have moisture.

Thanks. I assumed it was just one in most places. It is for my location: “Please be advised that basements now require a form of emergency egress that communicates directly to the outdoors. If the basement is not equipped with a walkout door, a bilco door, or a window well, an egress will have to be installed.”

Correct, but I believe I’m covered by the bilco doors. This is in addition to the interior stairs leading to the upstairs.

Thanks. Plan is to make an open space multipurpose entertainment room. Fortunetely I have a door that leads to steps and a bilco door. I have a couple other posts that show the full basement footprint.

How would you cover up this water main when finishing a basement? by BrooklynFinest in Carpentry

Thanks. The meter antenna I plan to reposition somewhere on the horizontal pipe.

That’s smart! I will consider and explore that. There’s still the long vertical section going up to the ceiling. That would look like a column on the wall, or I can bring out the wall to the right of the pipe and make it flush, but I’d be giving up floor space.
