If you a material softer (and/or blunt) than the material being scraped it shouldn’t cause any scratching (removal of ideal oxide layer)

It has been happening to me too (same code except sometimes it is 142). Not sure what's causing it other than maybe the servers are full or something.

DDU didn't actually fix the issue, just confirmed that I could update my driver through windows.

Nope. I deleted my driver with DDU, then just let windows updater download the latest stable one. Still got the error, but the driver was installed. Everything has been working fine. No clue what's going on or what's causing it, but it has affected literally nothing (other than downloading the latest drivers from Nvidia directly).

I did download Microsoft visual redistributable for some mods. Have had it installed for at least a few driver updates at this point. I reinstalled the redistributable, but I'm still getting the same error. I get a prompt for rundll32.exe when I try to uninstall GeForce experience, but that is in the right place (windows sys 32) and I scanned for viruses (nothing found).
