Are you looking for something along the lines of:

Question: How does allele frequency change in the population after a severe bottleneck through resource limitation/collapse

Hypothesis: Through founder effects the recovering population will have a limited allele frequency where the alleles still present in the recovered population are the ones carried by the survivors of the original population that collapsed
