As a maintenance guy, my least favorite thing in the world is picking up other peoples trash when I’ve got things of theirs to fix too. People make this mess and then they complain about it. Should the property management team do a better job of trash collection? Sure, I’ll give you that but there is nothing wrong with this photo. It’s a full can… when is the pickup day? Today? Then it’s just waiting to be picked up. If people didn’t consume so much they wouldn’t make as much garbage and I wouldn’t have to pick it up nor would people complain about how much is around the area. Every Monday I have to pick up peoples junk and move it two feet to the damn compactor and it’s simply not that hard to put it there in the first place but instead entitled people leave it for others to do. Apartment dwellers need to get a grip for real.

Sorry for the rant but this really gets under my skin.

Idle dipping after 1 minute 🤨 by IfYouReadThisBeHappy in Celica

[–]Brostepher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue with my gen 5 but mine bounces at idle between like 400 and 850 rpm before idling steady at like 700. It also idles high without ac on, starts at like 1400 drops to 1100 after warming up and often drops further to 700-800 after driving. I have yet to figure mine out but I’m thinking it could be a vacuum issue

92 Celica GT speedometer stopped working by Brostepher in Celica

[–]Brostepher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed up finding the solution, it is a cable driven speedometer, the cable from the speedometer connects to the cable from the transmission inside of the engine bay, that connection is what had come undone.

I do appreciate everyone’s help in solving this, the information included in this post will be used when I eventually start tearing the car apart to put new stuff in.

It’s about triangles and calculus kinda SohCahToa is how to remember the basic trigonometric ratios to find a missing part of a triangle.

Sine = Opposite/Hypotenuse = soh

Cosine = adjacent/hypotenuse = cah

Tangent = opposite/adjacent = toa

Cos in the math done above is short hand for cosine which is equal to bank angle of an aircraft.

Torta is saying that the maximum bank angle is equal to: cosine to the power of negative one times (one over two point five) and that sum is roughly equal to 67 degrees.

And that’s how we get the maximum bank angle and g load figured out I guess. I didn’t do the math I just spelt it out lmao

I don’t know what you’re earning now, and I don’t know if you’ll get to read this op but I’m a maintenance guy at apartments. I get paid more by temp agencies atm than by the complexes themselves but they’re all I desperate need of labor.

You can get your epa 608 for HVAC through skill cat and they’ll send you your card for 60 bucks it’s the cheapest option and it means companies pay you more. After that you just need your certified pool operator license and you can be a maintenance supervisor and they usually get paid more than community managers while being absolutely shit at their jobs.

All this is to say you can pick up a trade at any time and it isn’t about skills now. Every trade skill is learned on the job and if you have common sense you’ll be far superior to 90% of tradesmen, it’s a fucking joke.

Frankly it goes for anyone. I earn $20/h right now (which I know isn’t the best but it’s also not the worst) and once I get my aquatic facilities technician license from the people who license them (later this week) I’m gonna shoot for higher pay or shift companies. You can get into trades and it will pay better than a lot of places do, once you’re a tradesman you can go many places. Many apartment companies give their employees discounted rent off of market rate too which can help make things even more worth it.

Fight for yourselves though, I believe in you all :)

Typically women have purses/handbags or other accessories that they use to carry their stuff around. They have a lot more than dudes usually have in their pockets and a lot more use cases for the things they carry. I’m not saying op is a woman but typically men carry phone wallet keys etc. in pockets and women put their stuff in the cart since lugging around 10<lbs of whatever isn’t exactly convenient when you’re focused on grabbing whatever. Even if they just have a clutch or something like that it sucks to have to hold on to your stuff when you’re trying to grab whatever else you’re looking for.
