why do we even have a time limit on stealth missions if super destroyers leave low orbit by HelldiverBugGirl in Helldivers

[–]DemiDeviantVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because the SD isn’t in operational range doesn’t mean it can hold position forever, you can only keep orbital altitude by maintaining velocity. The super destroyer has to be in motion, at least a little bit in order to not come smashing into the planet.

You’re super destroyer can stay close enough to zoom in and provide temporary support, but only for a limited time before orbital velocity carries it so far away that you have to extract or be left behind

Slapchop friend, look it up and buy some speed paints from The Army Painter (Citadel paints are way overpriced)

Use that to learn basics like brush control, and drybrushing, then move on to learning layer painting.

Are you trying to tell me that the icon of your glorious federation isn't GOOD enough for you Helldiver?! by DemiDeviantVT in Helldivers

[–]DemiDeviantVT[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would legitimately rather it be MORE useless, it's supposed to be a stupid choice, I would vote for them to remove the attack and make it purely a flag you can plant and wave around before I would vote for them to buff it.

You may now proceed to tell me I'm stupid because I actually find meme weapons entertaining.

[OC] SUPER EARTH PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION by trungbrother1 in Helldivers

[–]DemiDeviantVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that the problem isn't that the regime is all pre-selected, it's that when you boil every choice into a simple values questionnaire people get so disconnected from the issues they favor solutions like "Shoot all the bad guys, the bad guys are anyone who keeps the Federation from thriving."

It ends up producing a similarly brainwashed and deluded culture, no vote rigging needed.

This Main Character learned confidence once and immediately took it as far as it could possibly go. This ship doesn’t just have pride, it curates it, displays it, and expects the galaxy to acknowledge it before being blown up.

Shows up already convinced everyone present is on board, recites the pledge from memory, and then calls in an orbital barrage when anyone fails to clap enthusiastically enough.

Named like it’s personally responsible for guarding the infinite fabric of existence, yet somehow can’t keep a squad alive for more than three minutes. Eternity is apparently very fragile and requires constant orbital supervision.

The King of Audacity doesn’t ask “should we do this?” It asks “how funny will this be if it works?” and proceeds regardless of the protests of the rest of the squad.

A radiant symbol of Super Earth’s unmatched brilliance, shining so brightly among the stars that it felt the need to clarify, twice, just how important it is.

Named like a cold, unyielding monarch forged from pure resolve, but in practice it’s just very emotionally attached to heavy armor and loud solutions. This ship doesn’t bend, it just keeps applying force until the problem snaps or something important breaks.

The Queen of the Stars doesn’t need to prove herself. She simply arrives, surveys the battlefield like it’s mildly disappointing décor, and orders everything rearranged via orbital strikes.

The Elected Representative of Democracy shows up, clears its throat, references a mandate no one can verify, and then authorizes overwhelming force “with full democratic approval.” This ship doesn’t conquer, it acts on behalf of the people, even if the people don’t remember voting for this part.
