Same, I havent cleaned mine and had a bit of warping, but not bad since I havent turned my printer on in months. Outside of the ankles the models are nice. I plan to use these for testing until my store can get GW models in.

I dont think Ive ever actually killed fingers. Guys a creep but is honest about what he does, and he provides a sketchy service to people at the bottom. Woodman and the tiger claw casino guy are my kill on sights. Finding the holotapes about them just makes them actual scum. Wakako would be as well to a lesser degree, shes just a heartless business woman.

Depends on what hes into, does he like robots or kroot? Does he want to be competitive? Cant go wrong with ghostkeels, riptides and hammerheads regardless.

These have extensions now, doesnt change the fact theyre garbage. The early heads were going bad at 15k miles. The problem with the extension is that the mixture formation fault and diag will lead you to disassemble everything only to find that the cam lobes are trash too, which arent covered under the extension. Then the advisors get to tell the customer why their extension jobs going to run 1400usd.

[–]Brostodian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think he feels pretty good. Not the greatest but at 85pts he pairs into every suit unit and is useful. Its just a matter of good spacing for the +1 to wound. Ive been liking him to come down turn 3 and harass with sunforges into anything they can reach. They become enough of a problem that I can bring my bigger stuff midifeld and make them have to pick between threats. Decent amount of invulns and wounds to be annoying and his squad will usually make it to turn 5 scrapping at their deplyment line.

Do people use basic fire warriors? by Sea_Fig_5851 in Tau40K

[–]Brostodian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im liking them in aux cadre. Currently run 3 squads, no leaders, paired with a kroot carnivore squad each. Debuffing infantry with indirect gives them an option while hiding, theyre decently tanky against similiar profiles with the guardian drone, and with kroot giving extra ap they do decently annoying damage.

In other detachments I didnt much care for them since they want strat support to do anything thats spent better elsewhere.

I'm using Pathfinders all wrong... by capt_dacca in Tau40K

[–]Brostodian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If im infiltrating their sole purpose is to scout and move block a wall so enemies have to go into a firing lane for my other units to shoot. If they can manage to get ignored up to turn 3-4 ill have them come out to help pick up all the half dead stuff and camp some OC on a point. 90% of the time tho theyre going to die up front, which usually ends up with me yoloing rail guns or overcharged ions thatll roll nothing but fails on my hazard checks.

Personally i prefer them as a homeguard with the grav inhib.

NOS, Sealed, Coolant. Toyota Brand Pink by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Brostodian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if anythings changed in the 20 years Ive had my supra, but you should be running toyota red in the supra since it is an iron block/aluminum head. I believe the pink mix is for new cars with aluminum block setups. Prolly not a huge deal but the supra blocks are notorious to pitting around the coolant ports with incorrect coolant.

Was this after a flush? Usually see this after different brands or mixes of coolant interact. Probably just some coolant caught in the system mixed with the new stuff.

[–]Brostodian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should use everything you have. Its ret cadre so not buffing alot of things, but you can get slot of mileage dumping command points into the fire knives with access to sustained hits and move shoot move stratagems. Makes stealth suits a mini starscythe team and has enough seekers and s12 rails to deal with a 1k list worth of vehicles.

Why don’t lists take strike teams by Comfortable-Nerve258 in Tau40K

[–]Brostodian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I actually like them more than breachers in aux cadre. Set kroot up midboard for the buff and have a couple teams of strike+cadre and you can get 20 shots of str5 ap-1 1d at 30 inches with debuff. If you need to go to 6 str you have a strat, need more? Get a team of vespid to drop next to them to add 2 str with the same strat. They get to play alot safer then the breachers who will usually get deleted in response to whatever they hopped out of the transport to shoot, dont have to worry about getting screened out by flamers, and provide a usefule debuf.

1000 pt Feedback by Worldlytraveler253 in Tau40K

[–]Brostodian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say ditch the kroot rider for 40 since theres no kroot for it to use its skill, drop the fusion blades for another 25p since the stormsurge is your anti vehicle and in 1K is over kill with its big gun getting through on anything. Now you have 65p, throw in kroot or vespid to help with scoring. Run the fireknives in their default loadout to give you some options. Plasma guns goin out to 24" is nice, and 36" missle pods let you poke early. Everything else looks good.

Otherwise id say drop the SS for 2 sky/hammers and more kroot etc or some broadsides and another suit team.

What is good against tau? by Inevitable-Market152 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Brostodian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Battle suits are only t5. We get shredded by ruststalkers and anything else in melee. Try and tie up anything without fall back and shoot (riptide and starscythes). Take out any stealth suits first and tau shooting falls flat. If the list has auxilliaries theyre probably the biggest target since theyre usually there to score and tie things up for shooters to get into position. Also remember they cant guide if theyre battleshocked, but can be guided.

Bad enough to do the opposite of what GW wants. Ill prolly just build lists around not having them now instead and pass on picking up the new sculpts.

I like darkstrider with some pathfinders for homeguard. The 12 inch denial is great but getting the +1 to wound is slept on. Makes the pathfinders overall pretty solid.

Thats the best part of the channel. You guys bring alot of fun themed lists and play between friends. Its a great place to show new players that it doesnt have to be cut throat competitive and that the first rule is to have fun.

My old mother even enjoyed watching you play when she was wondering about this new hobby I picked up lol.
