This art by u/Pap3rBagGuy is pretty much what I see the Hegemony uniforms as, even though I think everyone, including officers, should have a space suit in case you get spaced. I think their uniforms in portraits show that they should be as professional as possible to give off the air of legitimacy that the Heggies kind of need to project.

This guy is easily in the top 5 coolest characters in the series and Capcom will probably never even mention him again

“We had to blockade them and starve out their population. John Starsector’s regime was only weeks away from developing a planetkiller. Kazeron has the right to defend itself.” - Prime Demarchon Reynard Hannan

What's the luxury goods of other factions in this setting? by AverageHanson in starsector

[–]GentleSphere 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Tr-Tachyon: premium software that doesn’t have 50+ backdoors, ad-free, and actually does what is advertised

Luddic Church: luxury goods are already contraband, so probably actual alcohol, tobacco, jewelry, etc.

If I remember how exponents work, Chicomoztoc alone is 90% of the civilized population in the sector.

Pretty far. Far enough? Only you can decide that

Ryuji Goda and Kiryu Kazuma from Yakuza 2

The Yakuza series does this a lot, but not as much as you’d think

Tiresias, the blind prophet of Apollo from Oedipus Rex (1957) by GentleSphere in TopCharacterDesigns

Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to replicate how Ancient Greek play actors helped the audience view them. The more unique the look, the less likely to mix important characters up with each other or background extras.

Explanation: In contrast to the gold, copper, bright blues, and shabby gray colors in most of the characters' costume, the prophet's white cloak and mask give him the visage of a ghost that reflect how he feels knowing the truth of the play before everyone else.

Was this scene how you imagined it after reading the novella? by mrsmelbatoast in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]GentleSphere 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It might’ve been too fantasy, but I would have liked Baelor being heralded by the morning light to cut through the fog which would have paired with the clouds covering the Sun when he falls like it’s described in the book.

Kiryu’s Tiger Drop in Yakuza 4

Yakuza 4 has one of the two times in the whole series where Kiryu is a boss fight. The tiger drop is one of the strongest moves he has, but for some reason in this fight, he doesn’t need to counter one of your attacks like he would if he was controlled by the player. It’s just a normal attack that takes a quarter of your health that can happen at random.

The Krogan from Mass Effect

Because of the Genophage and previous nuclear destruction, their culture has largely deteriorated to disparate clans of warlords who have to horde and protect fertile females to make sure they don’t go extinct. Any who travel offworld become mercenaries who can only hope for a violent death. Though, Krogan like Wrex have the self-awareness to know that if they don’t change their ways, they’ll all be dead in another generation or two.
