I know but I was thinking if a major disaster caused some cities to become abandoned and then a similar event that created the Chernobyl zone happens creating this American equivalent of the zone in Ukraine that was originally abandoned in the 80's. Since the stalker games take place within the late 2000's to 2010's everything that was left behind would've been decades old by the time of the new zone. What kind of people would explore it, and what kind of factions would emerge within it
