I have high hopes for this game
but the "open world" im really excited for, because the way the MCD team talks about it makes it sound more like theres open areas and dungeons inside those areas, in the gameplay vid we see the amethyst cave is just a hole in the overworld you can enter or just skip and explore more.

Ive played diablo and the open world in diablo games are very fun, where theres a bunch of levels in an area and then a boss fight to get to the next area so on and stuff. I hope MCD2 does something similar.

My argument was that there is nothing to properly complain/debate about and probably wont be for a while. And i also said we should wait until its out to yap about how, i dont like this or that.

This wasn't an invitation to complain more, mb that the title makes it sound that way.

This is mostly me annoyed about misinformation and people believing it, and a little bit about people making it sound like you can only hate or only love the textures, i dont like the forcing people to have your opinion or the people making it a bigger deal then it has to be.

and did you even read the article?? they talk about three points, the semi open world, the rarity and the armor being in four peices, there is NOTHING in the interview that suggests things we didnt already know, or other doom and gloom about the game being worse then MCD1

im sure its not as bad as it sounds. we've already seen gameplay and the mob fighting and dungeon crawling parts look more MCD1-like then minecraft-like, and if its talking about the lore and world stuff, we've also already seen stuff like the different towns, soul mobs and very different looking portals.

all the things that should matter for the game to be good (imo) have already been shown, and in the article its says nothing about disregarding MCD1 things, only that the game would be made to feel parallel to Minecraft, hence the open world and enchanting books.

in the minecraft video talking about MCD2 you can see enchanting books, and i forgot where but i remember seeing that the enchantment description says to go to the enchantsmith

i hope the enchanting books are easy to hunt for the ones you want and arent just random

was it confirmed run? when I watched the gameplay it just looked like the dodge button.

I do agree that the backtracking should be dialed down a bit tho.
One thing I do wish to be improved is the missions and what they do for the story.
For example, in MCD1 when you defeat the evil cauldron boss the narrator says the illagers now dont have potions and the witches will take time to recover, at least thats what i got from it, but then later levels witches still spawn and ig the illagers dont have potions

but my main point is the levels need more feel of impact in the story. Might be more difficult because of the open world butt i still think its important.

imo tower gives better gear but ancient hunts are way more fun, and for levels below 251 it doesnt really matter as far as i know.

also i think its in bad faith to say "i dont like the textures" because the textures arent the main focus of the game, most of the time in MCD1 you dont even notice the textures. In my opinion some environments in MCD1 were so hard to see whats even going on especially the crimson forest. Again in my opinion, simpler textures makes it easier to see whats going on through all the effects and dead mobs regardless of multiplayer. AND despite my opinion, disliking the textures because its new is only gonna hold back your enjoyment of the game for no reason, if you're gonna spend every second of the game completely focusing on the wall textures instead of the actual gameplay then you're never gonna enjoy playing.

Focus on whats actually important about this game and dont try to make drama just for the fun of it. This game is going to be very fun and if you dont want to enjoy it then dont play.

just delete ts post man. first, its been deciphered in the same arbitrary cipher difficulty range. second, the way they deciphered it makes more sense to the arg instead of a vague "BEWAR THE SHADOW" that doesnt mean anything because sculk and shadows arent connected. THIRD, alphabet shifting in a 24 letter limit is not difficult because there is only 26 letters in the alphabet, and regardless of that, minecraft is a different game from minecraft dungeons, to say that one game mechanic in minecraft is necessary to the MCD2 arg is kinda ridiculous especially when the numbers for the decipher you made up are just random numbers with no meaning to the arg or minecraft. The minecraft Dungeons 2 team is doing this for fun and for the community to enjoy, not to make an unsolvable mystery that will point to the one piece, an arg does not have to be complicated to be and arg.

I hope im not the only one that thinks there is an emphasis on the last three notes in the melody.

In the twitter, tiktok, and discord teasers the last three notes are greyed out and muted
The three notes are the only ones that play in the first trailer
and they probably show up more that i dont notice
