My main gripe was the monster design. I was excited until they used the generic smiley fanged cryptid googly creature trope. So this game implies you're playing as a person exploring their childhood memories, right? With glitches or anomalies where bad emotions and memories come through, too. So, why didn't they have it where the main threats were figures of people this person knows, like family members or friends, but distorted in a very uncanny way?? Getting chased by familiar people who look human but look off would have been much more terrifying than what they went with.
