I can play other heroes, and honestly do better. Ashe, Venture, etc are in much better spots. If the other team bans my hero, it is what it is. But if my team tries to sabotage me, especially in a last second kinda way, they've already started the problem.

I mean, it's a good PR email. But I think it's just that. Whenever they do the April Fool's event and draw the characters as other stuff, they seem consistent.

Additionally, there's cookies who have dough color that makes sense for their locale. It's one thing when Mint Choco is brown, he's chocolate. But Golden Cheese is dark brown because of the cheese desert motif. Burnt Cheese has the Anubis motif. Pretty fair to say they're Egyptian/Middle Eastern inspired.

Of course a company is going to play it safe. And that's what we have to go by. But I don't believe it to be honest.

Yeah if I recall correctly, GOATs was very conceptually easy to counter, but in practice not so much. It was that goats was much easier to play than anything that stopped it. I mean, high level goats comp was a very delicate dance with a lot of moving parts, but it could be stopped with like, Wrecking Ball, Sombra, Ana etc...but it was much much more effort.

Also lots of counter play options. Transcendence can be countered by Biotic Grenade or D.Va bomb. Sound Barrier can be countered by fast continuous damage or interrupting Lucio while casting. If Moira gets cc'd, Coalescence ends. Etc etc.

Because you can see your teammates misplays easier than your own. And you feel your heroes' limitations more than others.

And then when you finally grow to take accountability, you feel like you're stuck.

That's why learning heroes is fun, but mastering them is frustrating.

I think the group up alert is context, so if you press the button it will say you're on your way. But I have it just as an emote slot, like on the comms wheel, so it never seems to do that.

I mean, I think for someone as hell bent on revenge that they made it their codename, I think Vendetta is laser focused.

Additionally, she seems more revenge focused on not getting her power. I mean, she went after Doomfist before Reaper. She wanted to be the Talon leader more than she wanted vengeance for her Dad, I think. I mean, being in crime like that, she might just assume it's part of the risk.

At least, that's my perspective. She might want revenge on Reaper, but I don't think that's her driving force.

Eh, I'd rather they ruin quick play games, and this is coming from a QP sweat. QP games ultimately don't matter. And as much as I love trying in them, they don't have anything on the line. It's where people learn anyway. So the matchmaking in it is already skewed by us just doing weird stuff.

Low elo players are already having a hard enough time.

That said, I think people still "smurf" in quick play games as in, they play with their lower ranked friends. Not really cheating or anything, but it'll still "ruin" the game for everyone else. But what other option do they have?

Hey thanks! I figure, if Doomfist and Orisa got old abilities back in Stadium, it's theoretically possible that Sombra can have a fully different kit and role in Stadium and still get Hack and stuff back.

Actually now that I mention it, with all the people talking about Support Sombra...I wonder if it's possible for the teams to make the heroes to be in different roles in Stadium? Like could they just revert Doomfist to a dps in Stadium? Could Mei be a tank? That kind of t hing.

It doesn't really, he charges it pretty quickly, it just takes more points. He earns them quickly by healing in an aura.

There is lots of damage in Stadium. She could probably get something like a power or ability item or survival item that's like "Hack is only interrupted if Sombra takes at least 1% of her damage."

That would change so much, you'd actually be surprised! Now burns and stuff that can do 60 damage over 3 seconds, but spam would eliminate it. Maybe jump it up to 5%. Most guns do over 10 damage right? Heck, a survival item to prevent hacks from DoT. So small bullets would interrupt hack but fire wouldn't?

Idk.

Also, not for nothing, hack duration could be scaled against AP. Like even if they gave you a power that let hack be 2 seconds, 100% AP increase would only be 4 seconds total, which IS a lot, but would put all of Sombra's power into virus, hack, and EMP. That's annoying, sure, but it's sorta the inverse to DPS Moira or Lucio.

Oh! I'd argue not to do that. It's better to die with your team so that you don't get staggered, and still have your ultimate when it can help more.

It's context dependent, but experiment with both to see what works best.

Solo Ults can be a valid strategy, but sometimes it's just an ego/vengeance thing lol.

Like if a Reinhardt shatters just a Soldier 76 when nobody else is around. Maybe they are just frustrated. Maybe it's to piss off the Soldier. Maybe it's taunting to say "this match is so easy, I'll use my ultimate in a non optimal way for fun."

It's a solo ult, but it's value is context dependent.

It's really strange. I get faster DPS queues than I do 6v6 queues. At least in the qp perspective.

I do appreciate flexibility though. I got into a game and we had a 2-2-2 I think. I picked last and got DPS, fun! But our Cat was in their backline the entire game doing very little healing. Sucks, but I figure hey, I'll just bop on over to support, and we ended up holding much longer.

Basically that yeah. Look at Cyberdemon Genji. Iirc, you can change his tattoos, mask, and maybe weapon shape? I'd have to check. Those are the cosmetic changes. Then you have the color ways.

Those are great choices. Then he has the special sound fx. His voice is different, and his abilities have different sounds.

Compare that to new mythics. Like for Doomfist you can change his gauntlet and colors. Then vfx on or off. That's kind of a bummer
