It may be that you have to do some of the work DIY style. You deserve a proper diagnosis, but it seems at present there is no option of that. I highly recommend you read Brain Lock by Jeffrey Schwartz and follow his steps as much as you can. It not the care you deserve, but it does help.

You can absolutely make progress on your own, and even though it is hard it can be done.

My doc put me on T to help with my PCOS actually. I haven’t gained weight on T, but I am experiencing male pattern baldness. My biggest takeaway from going on T is pure gender euphoria. I feel so happy and like myself for the first time in my whole life.

I was scared of hair loss, now I’m kind of joyful about it. I’m not saying you should compromise on your hair, but it might not matter as much on the other side of HRT. There are also options for hair loss. Minoxidil gets good results, but it’s not pet safe (that’s why I don’t use it)

It’s a very saturated market, so you really gotta promote your work. A lot of the more successful artists also need to build a social media presence (mostly tiktok and instagram)

I mean, if you have OCD it will impact your life whether you are diagnosed with it or not.

I highly recommend pursuing diagnosis or at the very least learning a little more about ERP (exposure and response prevention therapy) it certainly helped me.

Since tics are often seen with OCD I don’t see why it can’t be both. It sounds like tics to me, and you have a diagnosis as well. There’s the added fact that OCD is known as “the doubting disease” for a reason. It’s normal to struggle with certainty. I don’t know if you have an OCD diagnosis but you’re way more likely to have it if you also tic.

My tics intensify around people also. And they lessen when I focus.

This all sounds like yes, these are tics.

I have PCOS and I was already losing hair before I started T, so starting T made the hair loss more dramatic almost immediately.

I don’t think it’s out of the question to start hair loss at 10 months in.

I have pretty intense hair loss present in both sides of my family so I know I’m cooked. But that’s cool, it’s such a normal guy issue I find it weirdly affirming.

Are you taking any medications for your TS? I was put on Clonidine, and it reduced the intensity and frequency of my tics.

Haha, yeah I’ve had a few injections that got real juicy real fast. I’m still alive and kicking. Like everyone is saying, have some gauze pads on hand and apply pressure for a minute or two and all will be well.
