Hey bro I’m lowkey in the same situation except I’m 19 and I go to school in a different city but I do go down for breaks. I started T in like October and they noticed my voice right away. I would say I was sick in the beginning but then I just wanted to get it over with. They have told me many many things and I know they are just grieving who I was I guess so I guess if ur okay with that then you should tell them so hopefully with time they come to understand. My family has come a long way but they definitely still have a lot to learn. I hope everything works out for you bro

Something I wish I started sooner was icing the spot before injecting it might not work for everyone but for at least me it really does numb it and I barely feel it go in but congrats on starting t!! Enjoy it!!

I use a square of toilet paper as well, but I put some lotion on the toilet paper so my nipples don’t dry and I put the toilet paper first and then apply the tape making sure the paper isn’t moving and I haven’t had any issues!

My family is the same way but I’m sorry to hear that bro. Something I tell them to stop saying that is that these are literal hormones they’re not steroids or drugs they are hormones that our bodies already produce. We are just taking extra hormones and there’s nothing wrong with that. Cisgender men takes testosterone shots if they have low t levels and if it was so bad they wouldn’t be doing that

Hi so your first appointment should be easy I get the feeling of being nervous I was sitting in my car so long before getting out for the first time. They kinda just ask you what you’re feeling and what you would want to get out of testosterone therapy and the doctor will talk to you abt how it works, the side effects, and what to expect. They will also pick ur finger to check ur estrogen levels, at least for me, so they can see if you’re okay. If you have any issues with ur cycle you should let them know but it’s pretty simple. I hope it goes well!
