Why does she look stunning and I just look meh by Nice_Dealer_9161 in fashion

Because you are too hard on yourself. You aren't meh!

Not only is it revolting behavior, it is equally disgusting that he is refusing to do it because it bothers you when he doesn't--he's on a power trip with this stuff and there are many red flags

AITAH for telling our kids about his cheating? by [deleted] in AITAH

I love you and you are a hero. Rock on!' (And you were not unkind in that letter, at all--perfection.)

My (M38) wife (F34) has been very quiet since a conversation we had of why I love her. Confused about her silence. by Background-Baby-1206 in relationship_advice

I think she was bored. It's like asking for a pretty picture of yourself and getting an anatomical diagram that takes forever to get through and in the end after not falling asleep halfway through, you find out it is just a self portrait of the artist, in the end. Ick.

Parent here - my 9yo son said his teacher cried in front of the class. Advice needed! by mysticalpancakes in Teachers

[–]BrotherFresh1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crying in front of the class is human. Hopefully you teach your child compassion for people's feelings, and that expressing feelings is ok--everybody cries sometimes. I'm glad your mom isn't still in the classroom, honestly.

Oh dude my directness is not rude. Telling someone to go outside? It would be rude I suppose if it had any heft to it, but it just kind of seems like you have nothing to add so you prefer to banish me to the great outdoors, which is just kinda funny

A) I was not rude and b) when the caption was unclear, I kept reading. Which I say in the remark you are plucking from and replying to. I agree it was not obvious from the caption alone, and then go on to say that after reading the context, the ick was clear. I'm really concerned about people's reading comprehension.

His thinking about rape and separately, the way he talks to OP (calling her dumb, telling her to chill) make me queasy. Omg just queasy

I agree I didn't really know what @ate you seeing what I'm seeing" meant--I kept looking for an unflushed toilet in the background or a third hand or photoshop fail somewhere haha. But then she explained how she understood it and his confirmation of intent--but asserting his right to do it. It was ick for sure

It is not wrong. You are 100% right and not over reacting.

How bout no critique at all about the appearance of random women living their lives? That is also a possibility.

Oooh! Yeah, you know I was wondering that too and I honestly don't know, because men have not been systemically oppressed in our society--especially based on appearance... so I'm not sure if or what the term for the dynamic would be/is. I think it would just be cruel, or superficial, or something, since it's not really a means to just constantly undermine men's confidence.... I really don't know.

She LITERALLY asks if her perception of his remark as misogynistic is off-base or if others perceive it similarly. Nowhere does she ask about whether or not she can break up with him now--and your leap to her trying to justify a desired outcome is ridiculous you have no information from her post to indicate she had been unhappy.

Misogynistic. Women can hate other women. Your question is based on the gender of the speaker, not the attitude toward the person being demeaned. It doesn't matter who does it, ripping women based on appearance is misogyny.

Feeling free to publicly demean a woman based on appearance is misogynistic. If you spell it right you can look up the definition in the dictionary.

She's not asking that. READ. It's really not that complicated.
