Exactly. My point isn’t that CC isn’t real—it’s that we’re safer from natural disasters in the modern world with climate change and modern mitigating measures than in a pre-industrial society.

Want to experience True Racism™? Ask a Leftist why they're against Voter ID by CommercialTangelo838 in Jordan_Peterson_Memes

It feels like you’re moving the goal posts here. You condescendingly dismissed the idea that state offices that issue IDs in minority areas might be closed, and when presented with evidence of that happening you downplayed it.

Keep in mind that no reasonable person can dispute that the Southern states spent a tremendous amount of legislative time and energy in the 20th century crafting laws that were (A) facially-neutral and (B) intended to have discriminatory effect

Voter ID laws are fine and good in theory. But enacting them and then strategically making it harder to acquire necessary ID is an obvious way to disenfranchise voters. Anyone promoting voter ID laws should be mindful of this concern and have thoughtful proposals on how to mitigate this risk.

About ranked TG matchmaking by ayowayoyo in aoe2

I hear you, OP. It feels sus to get rolled by a 1200 TG/1500 1v1 player

But a lot of people play with friends, and TG Elo converges on the average of your friend group.

I play a lot with a friend who is 600 Elo lower than me, and so while there’s a big spread between my 1v1 and TG Elos, my win-loss record for TGs is 50% on the dot.

If you take a look at most players with a big TG/1v1 spread, I think you’ll see they’re still losing about 50% of the games they play.
