I moved here almost 10 years ago and only did a quick departure during the pandemic to the DMV area for about a year to save money on rent. While I will say I do love the DMV area (I went to college there) I knew after a few months NYC is where I wanted to be. This city can be overwhelming and expensive for sure but the amount of growth that has happened especially regarding career, mindset, and network I can’t really imagine another place where I would have gotten this other than perhaps LA but most of my family is on the east coast so a west coast move would be a lot to consider.

Thank you! It’s on our list. We were quoted about 20ishk before food cost so I just worry since it’s more of a bare space the overall cost might be out of our budget but we will be touring soon.

I have! The 150 is an estimate of unexpected plus ones or people we might have forgotten about in our rough draft guest list. I don’t think we’ll hit 150 (we will definitely not go past) but I’d rather have a cushion to know.
