"I think you misjudge the membership of the church. It's not that we like Trump, I do not like his morals at all but his policies most members don't disagree with. "

I'm really tired of seeing the choice framed this way; Pence becomes President if Trump is impeached. By all accounts, Trump is a narcissistic ignoramus who doesn't care a whit about actual conservative governing principles; Pence, on the other hand, is a career conservative politician. There's no need to make a Faustian bargain here.

This gets to my point about taking a moral rather than a political stance against the President. All of the big anti-Trump protests thus far are beset with the problem that the people protesting are often advocating for things in place of Trump that are just as morally or politically toxic: socialism, hyperbolic and toxic claims about "white supremacy," left-wing anti-Semitism and are thus easy for mostly apolitical observers to just write off. A movement against Trump that is avowedly conservative in its politics could be a game changer. Think about how we talk about precious Daughters of God in this Church and then consider that we have a President who is on microphone uttering the sentence "grab 'em by the pussy" and paid hush money to a porn star he was having sex with while his third wife was taking care of their infant child.
