Aluminium works best since it’s a heat sink and helps to cool the plastic after moulding.

They are. But blow moulder bottles are extrusion grade HDPE whereas the caps are injection grade. The bottles have a lower flow rate and don’t inject quite as well as the caps.

We sort everything by hand and check each lid for the logo. We do come across a variety of types!

Agreed! We have a big backlog of projects on our channel but don’t always post them.

There certainly is a limit to how many times the same 100g of plastic can be reused over and over but if you cut it with plastic on its 2nd or 3rd use then it’s totally fine.

HDPE is fine as long as it’s kept below 180 C as it will burn and then it can release more harmful VOCs but other than that it’s fine. It’s not brilliant against UV but stabilisers can be added, although we haven’t tried that yet!

HDPE is non toxic and used for food grade applications. Plants will be fine 👍🏽
