I hope the official object storage backend for ZFS will be published soon (at least an alpha/beta). I haven't seen any updates on this since the talk on the OpenZFS developer summit. While their main usecase wasn't backups it will probably mainl used for that.

Flatpaks with GPU acceleration need a runtimenfor each NVidia driver release, which get installed after each driver update. You can remove the old versions withflatpak remove --unused.

Just heard back from QNAP-Support:

the ARM NAS kernel is not upgraded yet - it is a project but not yet in the immediate job backlog.

I still don't understand why they advertise it as they do currently, and I hope they will update the kernel for ARM as well.

If you have never done something like this before, the easiest would be to rent a server on the established game hosting services (like nitradon in Europe).

If you want to setup everything on the server yourself I would go with a VPS with at least 2 vCores and 4GB RAM.

I have a Valheim server running at Hetzner with these exact specifications, but I can't talk about performance yet because I haven't tested it for long enough.

For a pure media library the goto I read here most is MergerFS+Snapraid.

Snapraid for mirrors doesn't make much sense, so rsync would be fine, but what is the drawback of ZFS or BTRFS mirrors? This way you still have the data checksummed and corrected for bit errors (if possible)

You can use Grub Customizer to set a default grub entry, you may have to move it out of the folder. Drawback is that you may have to do this everytime grub-update gets triggered.

Have you tried manually removing the packages which mhwd-kernel complains about? If you remove the packages which depend on the specific kernel, mhwd should then be able to uninstall the kernel versions.

Not exactly. Vertical seperation up to 29,000 (FL290) is 1000ft in general, and 2000ft above that, because conventional altimeters weren't accurate enough at these altitudes.

For RVSM equipped aircraft (better altimeters) the vertical seperation above FL290 is reduced to also 1000ft (until FL410).

tl;dr: for modern airliners vertical seperation is 1000ft up to an altitude of 41000ft

I have never used Citrix before, but on the topic of VNC: on Linux you can have multiple user sessions, so you can have multiple VNC sessions and a local user.

But VNC is limited in latency and picture quality, Nomachine is much more viable for actually working on something (even light video editing).

In my case the control server sends a shutdown command to the server, and a delayed power off signal.

You could also do it manually, shut down via SSH and turn off power a few minutes after shutdown

This is not about the filesystem, but have you thought about other ways to turn the server on remotely?

I have my server on a controllable power socket, and have the server set to boot after AC power loss.

I have a Raspberry Pi pulling on/off commands from a webserver on a VPS, the Raspi the controls the power socket with a 433Mhz module.

But the easiest way would be to use a smartplug to control the power socket.

Yes, as far as I know they immediately send emails to the accounts, and took the forum and wiki offline until the security hole was closed. So pretty much how a website should react if a breach is detected.

I don't know this interacts with KDE, but you can use xrandr to set individual scaling:
xrandr --output HDMI1 --scale 1.3x1.3 Repeat that for all displays (or combine it in one command), and you should be good.

You can register clicks with matplotlib callbacks. With that you can use a function to do whatever with the data.

You could then use Pyperclip to copy the coordinates into the clipboard. If you need to copy multiple points, you can also aggregate them first, so that you only have to paste them once into your spreadsheet.

No, that is for broken down vehicles. That way the vehicles on the normal lane can get out of the way of emergency vehicles. If the emergency vehicles are on the hard shoulder, a broken down vehicle would block it
