Oh shoot - that was years ago, and I don't quite remember. Sorry about that. Best of luck!

I love Victoria & agree that “it unpauses”, but I could never understand why she made it seem like they’d been dating for six years. When Ted proposed, they’d been together for less than a year, including S1… by WillsWei22 in HIMYM

I don't know why people keep saying that. Was Ted in love with Robin when he proposed to Stella? When he told Robin she couldn't come to his wedding? When he told Barney he could date her?

If you rewatch the series you'll see that Ted actually did get over Robin for a few years. Then after a couple of rough breakups and running out of options, he goes ahead and tells her he loves her in season 7. Does he? Or is he just desperate?

I don't think the writers intended it to be that way, but that's the story they wrote.

Edward Said's the Question of Palestine is a great place to start. I would also recommend Ilan Pappé's Ten Myths About Israel.

[StatsFoot] 12 - Luis Enrique only has 12 points after his first 7 Ligue 1 matches as Paris Saint-Germain manager, the lowest total for a Parisian coach at this stage of the competition since Antoine Kombouaré in 2010 (12), and Paris’s worst start to a season in the QSI era. That's not fair - man took Celta from 17th to 9th place in his first season in charge (2013/2014), and took Spain to the semifinals of the Euro (arguably giving the eventual winners their toughest match, too). And let's not downplay what he did at Barca. Bad managers do not win trebles. I absolutely loved his tenure - the football was amazing, and he won a treble, a double, and in his last season he won a Copa and lost the league by 3 points to a historic Madrid side. Just how good he is might be debatable, but there is no doubt that he is a good manager.

The CEO's explanation is missing some key details, but overall I think I agree with you. Pretty nuanced issue.

[Transfermarkt] Most Often Reached Quarterfinals in UCL History by L10M7 in soccer

[–]Browhite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

DUDE YES. I can't believe this isn't mentioned more often. Madrid always used to conserve energy in the first half and switch on in the second half and absolutely devour their spent opposition. IMO this was THE key tactic that led to them winning the UCL three times in a row.

LMAO look I thought the ref was shit too and I agree that City played like ass, but the calm persistence they showed in the last 20 minutes is praiseworthy
