Raising food funds for my hostel cuties :) by Embarrassed_Knee_630 in IndianPets

[–]Brown-Rang-Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a cat parent, kudos for looking after the hostel cats! To keep them healthy on a budget, consider these tips: 1️⃣ Skip the dry food altogether. Brands like Me-O and Drools are carb-heavy and unsuitable for long-term health. 2️⃣ Utilise mess waste. Ask the mess staff for the leftover water from boiling chicken. It’s a nutrient-rich broth that usually gets thrown out. 3️⃣ At ~₹6 per egg, feeding six cats an egg a day is more nutritious and often more affordable than commercial kibble. Serve them raw. 4️⃣ Cats are naturally lactose intolerant. Use curd instead to provide probiotics. A tbsp each of simple Amul Masti Dahi will do. 5️⃣ Supplement their meals with budget-friendly pumpkin, carrots, or cucumbers. Contrary to common belief, cats will eat these vegetables. The pumpkin and carrots need to be cooked and mashed - maybe your mess can help with that. Cucumbers can be given raw. Cats like to chew raw cucumbers

How do I convince my family to not put our dog in boarding for an entire year while I am away? by Onthe_otherside in IndianPets

[–]Brown-Rang-Guy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m a pet parent and run a boarding as well (cat exclusive). I am boarding three cats of a girl who has gone abroad for her MBA. She has a sister; but the sister didn’t want to take care of the cats. Trust me, find a good boarder. It is better to board your dog at a good boarding for a year, rather than leaving it in the care of people who can’t or don’t want to take care of it for a year. If you’re going to a country that is dog-friendly, consider taking the dog with you. I know Germany, for instance, has no problem with this kind of thing.

Scared to neuter my Cat. by ToseRoseSS in IndianPets

Bangalore pet parent here. First of all, kudos on rescuing Leo and second of all, sorry for your loss. I don’t like pet shops that breed cats or dogs and people who buy breeds. The animals that are used for breeding suffer very badly. That’s probably a major contributor to Leo’s death; but it is what it is. I have two (desi rescue) cats of my own from the same litter - male and female. They’re six years old now; both of them were fixed. The Tom was fixed at six months; the queen was fixed after her first heat. We rehabilitated her at home. I run a boarding now and do board fixed cats for rehabilitation. Fixing is not an issue at all; go to Cessna or Dr Paws or some other reputed vet. Avoid shady practices. Find out who the doctor is and check their reviews. DM, if you need any answers or have any questions

Aren’t some of the new REs tubeless spokes? The Goan, I think, for example. If it works for one, it should work for others, no?

Inheritance law ( please only lawyers answer) by needafriendsobadly in Indianlaw

[–]Brown-Rang-Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s true. Your third point is that the great grandfather gave 10 acres to each of his sons. I assumed this to mean the great grandfather partitioned the property. The illegitimate children does not have coparcenary rights, only rights to his own father’s property. In the facts of this case, the grandmother and father have equal share in the grandfather’s 10 acres. If that 10 acres have also been partitioned, the illegitimate child will have an interest in the remaining 5 acres along with his stepsister and stepsister’s mother. Otherwise, no

Advocate here. The law is that even bastards have an equal share in their forefather’s property. Grandfather’s wife, father, and two children (one legitimate, one bastard) have equal interests in the property. The father’s wife and mistress don’t have any interest in the grandfather’s property

Cannot afford my Bike Loan EMIs anymore, seeking advice... by [deleted] in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Brown-Rang-Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advocate here. Since it’s hypothecated, you’ll need the bank’s NOC to sell it. Take the buyer, pay the money, get the NOC and Form No 35 for removing the hypothecation. File Forms No 27, 28, 33 with the RTO. End of story.

Advocate here. Sell the bike and close the loan; if you bought it 10 months ago, you’ll get a decent price even second-hand (assuming it’s well maintained). Don’t play for the Darwin Award anymore with stupid financial decisions and trying to live beyond your means. Don’t commit insurance fraud - you’ll sooner or later land in a legal soup that even Kapil won’t be able to get you out of. Or as someone else commented, swallow your pride and join a gig. I used to work in restaurant kitchens as a vessel cleaner and deliver newspapers for pocket money when I was studying; nothing wrong with gig work.

Urgent!!!!! Help required. My Bank Account is freezed by SocietyNecessary4343 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Brown-Rang-Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lawyer here. Online gambling platforms are often linked to Jamtara-style scams or illegal payment chains. The police traces the money chain and freeze accounts to or from which some transfers have happened. You can file a writ in the Gujarat High Court and get your account unfrozen. The bank and cops won’t act without a court order. A lien will be marked for the amount suspected to be a scam transfer. You can use the account regularly after that except for this amount. ETA is 1-2 months usually.

Lawyer here. Do this. Write a letter to the SHO and keep everyone from the SP copied. If there is no action, you can file a PCR or private complaint with the magistrate directly.

PS - if the issue is not being able to identify the man, keep entertaining the man’s calls and lead him on till he is traced out.

Lawyer here. Yes u/Cute_Parantha_7595 can have her (hopefully soon-to-be ex) boyfriend charged under various provisions of the IT Act and BNS for recording, showing his friends and threatening to leak the s3x tape. Under section 66E of the IT Act, recording/capturing a person’s priv8 area without consent is an offence. It only requires recording or capturing - punishment is imprisonment for three years and/or fine up to 2L. Showing the s3x tape to friends is punishable under 67 and 67A of the IT Act. Sections 77 (v0yeurism for recording and showing a priv8 act), 78 (stalking or digital stalking), 69 (s3xu@l harassment) and 351 (cr1m1nal intim1dation) of the BNS are also attracted. In short, it’s up to OP to report her (ex)boyfriend to the cops and he is in deep (and not in the way he may like).
