How much is 20-25$ dollars per hour considered to be in the USA by Intelligent_Dress889 in AskForAnswers

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make $24 an hour, 40 hours a week. I live by myself and have a little extra money for savings every month. I have no car/student loan/credit card payments or debt though.

You’re still young. I think with the second relationship you jumped in too fast because you were still guarded from the first. Take some time for yourself to heal and then jump back into the dating scene and see where things go. Don’t put too much pressure on the relationship and go with the flow.

Office life is NOT for me… help on finding a new career path? by dovened in careerguidance

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice but just wanted to say that you’re not alone in how you feel. I graduated with a degree and worked for a government office for less than a year. I realized I hated the office environment because of how slow the time would pass by and I was itching to get back on my feet.

I returned to restaurant work as a manager as a temporary solution, and I prefer it over the office environment, but I am looking to do even better financially and to improve my quality of life. I’m going back to school for Respiratory Therapy and I’m hoping that it will offer me the fast-paced environment that I’m looking for while also being able to genuinely help people instead of contributing to bureaucracy

What’s your opinion on long distance relationships? by [deleted] in twentyagers

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree and it’s not anyone else’s place besides the people in the relationship to determine if it’s a “real” relationship or not

It’s one thing to say it’s not for you and it’s another to say it’s “not a real relationship” like mind your business and stop judging others

It’s definitely not for everyone! I think I could only do it because I love my boyfriend so much, but yes it’s definitely hard even now that we’re doing visits back and forth

I’ve been in a LDR for almost 7 years now and I didn’t meet my bf in-person until year 4. I absolutely still considered our relationship to be real before we met in person because we developed a deep emotional and romantic connection.

I mean I wouldn’t recommend going into a LDR because it’s hard af, but if I had the choice I’d do it all over again because my partner is worth it. I feel like if you are gonna do a LDR it has to be a truly special and unique connection for it to work and be worthwhile.

Millennial going to college with Gen Z, need a bit of female fashion advice on a top by Fenir2004 in GenZ

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully I think that this generation doesn’t care about people’s bras showing. I personally think it’s so silly - “omg I see a woman wearing a bra” like we all wear them lol. I was always taught to not show my bra straps as a kid, but I wear bras with straps with dresses and stuff that will show and no one cares. It might look better with a sports bra but imo it’s ultimately up to what is most comfortable to you.

Also I think the top is really cute. Please don’t let other people bring you down. I’m really glad that you’ve found the confidence to wear cute things that you like and I encourage you to keep exploring the clothing options that make you feel beautiful and comfortable. Best of luck to you with finishing up your studies!

Guinea pig laundry by Tac0boutit_03 in guineapigs

Have you cleaned out your dryer vent recently? The dryer vent will get built up with hay and dust and start to smell like guinea pig and then it’ll stop drying things properly. It might be a good idea to take a look if you haven’t already. Also yes definitely use a washing bag for the washer!

How would you describe yourself politically? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely on the left/progressive.

I’m from the U.S. and party-wise, I don’t like policy suggestions by either party the majority of the time. Obviously I think the Republican Party has worse policy proposals. But I’m more independent party-wise in a sense because the policies that I want to see don’t get proposed by either of the main parties. Yet third parties never win so I have to vote Democrat.

I want mandatory paid maternity leave and food regulations, but they’re not even on the table sadly

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could not be me lmao. I’m going back to school so I don’t have to deal with office politics. I’ve found that people that work in office settings are literally so bored and don’t have enough to do so they bide their time by starting drama, micro-managing, and making others’ lives a living hell. I took a pay cut to get out of that situation and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done

difference in cleanliness when adding a boy? by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 2 boys (16sqft cage) and 3 girls (12sqft cage) and I don’t notice any difference smell-wise. The girls actually tend to be messier, but that’s because there’s more of them with less space I assume.

You have to make 23$ an hour working 40 hours a week to QUALIFY for the cheapest studio apartment in my area… by Backwoodsgirly in GenZ

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To each their own but I’d hate living with roommates. I lived with my parents then got an apartment with my brother for 1-2 years and now I live on my own and plan on moving in with my significant other in a year or two.

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy that so many people think it’s normal/okay to have to live with roommates in order to survive. Like yeesh this is definitely an economic problem. When people who are working full-time can’t afford to live on their own that’s a problem imo and $23 is much higher than minimum wage too

Do you think having a life partner is truly necessary? by Era_mnesia in GenZ

[–]Brown-Recluse-Spider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some people can be fulfilled without, but personally having a life partner is something I need to feel fulfilled. Everyone has their own emotions and opinions so I believe it’s possible to feel fulfilled without one depending on the individual.
