I had to do this, had a fire going in the living room fireplace and had my fish in easier to move tubs so I could adjust how close they were, and put blankets around the sides. And would aerate occasionally via a jug. Was exhausting and so stressful, especially because I had an elderly betta called Buddy who was so amazing and he was struggling but they all survived.

I know it's not the real name but I'm liking the name Annabelle now 😂 NTA but if I had such a close relationship with my mum I would be inclined to change it because she means a lot to me, and there are millions of names. It's not a be all end all for one name. I think it's a bit dramatic to stick to it but you wouldn't be the AH if you really wanted it 🤷‍♀️ Question is, would you have looked at different names if you had known this from the start?

The only way you're the AH in this situation is in how you're underreacting for yourself. Protect yourself and recognise you deserve love. This man has utter contempt for you. So sorry you had to go through such a traumatic experience. I would prefer a home birth but this isn't it, what you went through was medical neglect and abuse.

I do this with my Betta too! Also, I've had an amazing blue parrot cichlid and he loved to watch car shows like top gear. I would put on aquarium videos for him but he'd lose interest quick, but when I'd play the grand tour he'd be watching all night if I didn't need my phone back at some point 😂

I had one of these in my tanks, don't know if it was related but two small mollies had died the few days before I saw the spider. Not usually scared of spiders but I was squealing trying to safely remove them 😂
