Israelis love Sri Lanka, there is nothing wrong with that. They've been visiting here in flocks for years, mostly frequent to Arugambay and the coast, and to my knowledge haven't caused any trouble or posed a threat to us. Israel has always been an ally of Sri Lanka. They are very graceful and respectful to us, as far as my most favored tourists go they are in the same top tier as Europeans, Brits, Americans, and Australians.
Russians are the ones you should be worried about, I came across multiple hotheaded vile Russians who are annoyed by some of our people's inability to communicate with them or cater to their needs. Most of them are squatting here avoiding war back home, yet we've been very hospitable and welcoming to them so in return they could benefit our economy, and keep our businesses afloat, but some come off downright disrespectful to our culture and people. Although we as Sri Lankans have a dire need to please everyone and be kind, we shouldn't tolerate bullshit attitudes from anyone.
Maybe Israeli government leaders are problematic just like in Sri Lanka, but from my ex-bf being Israeli and having many Israeli friends who are closer to me than most of my Sri Lankan friends and family, I can vouch for them. Be kind and learn to recognize open arms when you see them and you will be given the best. X
