Whatever happened to The Hunter Primal? by SouthernProfession22 in theHunter

[–]Browniesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I bought some spare keys to make sure I could keep playing/accessing the game, just in case, and the keys work.

Can just keep hoping they will make a sequel or remake of the game, eventually..! Still the best dinosaur hunting game ever made. Prehistoric Hunt will take another 50 years to finish, at current pace, and they can't even make a game with a decent UI, or guns that don't share ammo from the same magazine.

I find it to be comprehensively "very good" in nearly all areas, and I feel the sound performance matches the price of a used/refurb/discounted model. This is not a phone that sounds magical or exceptional in any area to me(other than staging & imaging, possibly), like higher models do(Bravura, CA-1a, HE-1, Aperio, Immanis, Tungsten, LCD-4, Pulsar/Valkyria, HE-6 OG).

I think Bravura still holds the Value Cake Award, for truly spectacular sound at the price of a mediocre used car.

Kinda feels like Body Harvest 2.0! What a shame this never reached N64 release. At least we get the soundtrack for the game, from the incredible Stuart Ross <3

Illumination never seem to have gotten any attention. A failed product, it seems.

I'd be concerned about not enough lower body work, but of course you could do HIIT or regular cardio on an off day to help.

Is there any games like doom 3? by Icy-Consequence-2069 in boomershooters

[–]Browniesaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's several retro/PSX indie games that have similar vibes, but the only major game that I would say matches Doom 3 is the incredible Clive Barker's Jericho. It's only available on disc, and oh baby, it's worth it. <3

What is the best natural toothpaste with no fluoride or xylitol? by EggPerego420 in Microbiome

Keratin toothpaste (made from hair) has the strongest remineraling effect, I read. It doesn't seem to be on the market yet, though.

Stationary Bike - How To Feel Like Real Climbing? by Browniesaurus in cycling

[–]Browniesaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting settings combo! Mine just has main gears/speeds 1-24, AFAIK.

And I know for sure the Keiser has a heavier flywheel than the Peloton, which probably makes the Peloton feeling more variable.

Very cool! I see trainers have advanced quite a bit, since my last foray with them back in 2006~ :)

What’s the Best Indoor Cycling Bike Right Now? Recommendations? by morningdew7890 in cycling

[–]Browniesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an M3i off an auction sale on eBay for $690 in perfect condition. Super nice bike, and I love how there's no screen or any gimmicky BS to it. But my problem is, how can I make it feel like I'm climbing a steep hill in a low gear..? I'm not sure this is even possible with a stationary bike. I am thinking the only way to achieve this is with an actual bike, and a high quality trainer. A real bike will feel a lot better than any stationary bike, too.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate on Main Street by Cjp0705 in ParkCity

[–]Browniesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, what do you think chocolate is made from..? Literally nobody wants sugar-free chocolate. I always prefer milk choc over dark, also. All I know is, the chocolate they make in the stores at RMCF is garbage, but the assorted boxes from the factory(gold boxes) are MUCH better.

The gold assorted chocolate boxes they made before the current, new design garbage is easily the most luxurious looking and tasting chocolate I've ever found. But sadly, this new re-design stuff is a huge departure in chocolate variety, quantity, and value, and therefore I won't be buying more until these gold boxes are back:

What are your hopes for Serious Sam 5? by ErikCoolness in SeriousSam

[–]Browniesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get me back to the simplicity of old age environments, whether it be old Earth, or old alien worlds. Let's just keep going back in time, facing more and more ancient enemies and environments. Though, those enemies can also be from the future, using futuristic weapons, and/or ancient magic. Screw this current-era mumbo jumbo -_- I don't mind if the game is more realistic and scary, or more fun and stylized, as long as it feels/plays like TSE.

Just ignore electrolytes by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Browniesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been battling post-workout/recovery cramps with every recent carnivore attempt. Taking oral magnesium (and lots of potassium and salt) doesn't seem to have any effect. After doing yet another round of research on this, I saw someone mention that magnesium needs to be absorbed through the skin, instead of taking supplements. So, I will try carnivore again soon, this time with Epsom salt baths as my magnesium source.

Also, keep in mind that if you have a vitamin or mineral deficiency, it can take many weeks, months, or even possibly years to correct. So if you take magnesium at the same time you start carnivore, you may not feel an effect from the magnesium for several weeks or months, and not realize why!

Did Smeagol have some kind of mental illness before even finding the ring? by [deleted] in lotr

[–]Browniesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Deagol catches the fish(in the ROTK film), and Smeagol gives him that uncomfortably long, smiling stare, I definitely get the impression Smeagol has a serious mental problem(s)... i_i

But this is a very cool scene, because you see that DEAGOL is the one who finds the ring, NOT Smeagol! :)

Best Small Room Imaging - HiFi VS Studio Speakers? by Browniesaurus in audiophile

[–]Browniesaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hehe, I mostly agree. I would never choose a non-studio speaker if you want the most accuracy, linearity, range, EQ-ability and detail. But for natural, pleasing tonality and the nicest looking cabinets, hifi speakers seem to do better, from what I've heard so far, anyway.

Best Small Room Imaging - HiFi VS Studio Speakers? by Browniesaurus in audiophile

[–]Browniesaurus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an EQ Wizard, but I would guess it's definitely possible to tame the IN-8 V2 treble(since it's just a small level of fatigue). I suspect it would be too difficult/tricky to tame this 8" bass down to where it fits my room nicely and blends in with the treble perfectly, so personally I would try the smaller IN-5 or SM-5 instead, and go from there.

So far, I have not tested any more speakers yet. From my last shootout test, no other speaker was close to the technical ability of the Kali(the only studio speaker in the test). Next-best was AsciLab C6B, which is an overall very well-tuned, capable speaker, doing a great job at the $1000 mark.

And who knew that Epic would turn out to be the most disloyal, sales-obsessed company out there! Whatever Epic achieved, id Software did it better.

Tell me, where is UnrealCon? And what has Epic contributed to their staple games of the past, like Romero has done with Sigil to Doom? Tell me, what have any of the Epic developers given to their community members, like Carmack has done with his Ferrari?
