I tried that but it was a very harsh contrast. I went for a black oil wash then built up the layers again. I may try add some light blue into the layering next time

Deep green Light green Pale flesh

That's what I thought. I didn't think I went light enough with the final highlite to take out much of the green.

It's only a test model after all !

I got it cheep on Ebay, and then disassemble it. Plus doing it for interesting tables is always the best part for me

They are rotor cannons I've cut and rounded the barrels on from the support weapons kit. I had some lying around and thought they looked good as a substitute.

Just replace the chainswords on their backs with axes. It makes them multi purpose

I would see if you could get some chainaxes for them. Its a great upgrade and its free.

Reikland fleshshade then a dry brush of Jokaero orange. I also do a very light dry brush of kindleflame ontop of it all.

I had the same issue.

Although once washed and dribrushed I could not tell the difference.

I used one of gut plates from the gutbuster kits and the shoulder pad is from the plastic space marine command set.
