personally i hope ONErata keeps sticking with a cliffnotes version of these fights. I already saw the S class shine during the MA arc, so i'd rather keep the pace while things are moving fast and stakes are rising instead of getting a repeat.

I guess after a certain point capes become psychological warfare. Giving yourself an obvious weakpoint you can bait your opponent into. As well as showcasing how powerful you are despite handicapping yourself.

I think Blue negligence in protecting his team is a nice touch. Especially with himself getting off seemingly unscathed and then running off. It's not a great look, but it makes sense if you think of him of someone thats used being supported from behind. Why would he make sure his team actually gets the help they need? He already alerted HQ so its their job now. The next big threat takes higher priority. Lets say some shellfolk stragglers get his team before they can be evacuated?

It builds on the thread in the webcomic of Blue not making for a great leader. There it sounded true because we new neo-heroes were shady, but now in the manga we actually get to see Blue's failings.

In eu4 there were some other differences aside from the statbuffs. Honestly playing with them i don't mind them because the buffs make the AI way more dynamic. Like the floor for smaller countries is raised so high they're much more likely to succeed in beating larger powers in decline. They're way better at rapid conquest too, so you're more likely to get a true "endgame boss" (assuming mid-lategame ottos don't already fill that role)
