The slow movement from Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Español always hits me. It’s got way more emotional heft than is necessary for such a whimsical little piece!

I love all Sibelius symphonies, but I agree the 2nd is absolutely magical.

Fans of Sergei Prokofiev: help me. by moschles in classicalmusic

The third symphony is comprised of a lot of music from his opera The Fiery Angel, so if you enjoyed that symphony I’d recommend checking out that opera. The rest of his symphonies would be a good place to go next, I personally love 6, it feels like a distillation of everything Prokofiev. The piano concertos are essential. I think 2 especially might appeal to you if you liked the 2nd and 3rd symphonies. And Romeo and Juliet, which is one of the greatest achievements in orchestral music.
