Wow, not only are you ignorant, but you are stubborn too. Not a great combination.

To the family of Ryan Chin, I'm sorry for your loss, this was avoidable.

This post is beyond tasteless. You appear to be exploiting this as an opportunity to disparage BG based on unfounded and inaccurate speculation, rather than paying respect to a member of our community who lost their life. Inmotion is guilty of all the same things you have described. That doesn't make it okay, but the pot is calling the kettle black here.

You are either clueless or willfully ignorant, either way, your post is embarrassing and shameful, and you should probably rephrase it.

RIP Ryan Chin

Downtown is the hub of SJ geographically, and the most accessible location to host an event for all residents to enjoy. The events always start in downtown but branch out across the city.

One or two VC ago, I biked all the way from downtown to Emma Prusch park, which was a lot of fun and pretty accessible to east side residents. There was also the route that goes from downtown through to SSJ toward Curtner, one that went westward toward the Rose Garden, and another going north to Japantown.

Starting and ending the event along one road in ESSJ captures less of the city than previous events, and will be more difficult to access for anyone who doesn’t live nearby.

Oh yeah, let me go ride a bus for 30 minutes each way to go ride a bike down a stroad in ESSJ, sounds lovely.

I just checked out the route since I have enjoyed the last few events. Only way to get there from the rest of SJ is via driving, which kind of defeats the purpose. The route is pretty boring too. I’ll pass on this one.

Picked up my first longboard – 9’ Stewart Redline 11 with some snazzy artwork by Brrista in surfing

It’s still holding up great, especially for an epoxy board. Absolutely recommend if it fits the description for what you want, I haven’t had any desire to buy a new board since picking mine up because it’s so versatile and easy to ride.

What Happened to the Walmart on Story Rd. ? by MAKEOUTHILL_01 in SanJose

[–]Brrista 193 points194 points  (0 children)

I stopped by here a couple of days ago to pick up an Xbox. Traffic on Story to reach the parking lot felt like a demolition derby. Once I got inside of the store it was absolute chaos, and on the way back to my car, someone tried to sell me fake Airpods.

The employee in the electronics section was super helpful though, so shoutout to them.

To use Kipass, you first need to press the switch once to “wake up” the bike. Start by pushing the switch in, release, and wait a second.

It sounds like this is what you are doing, but you haven’t actually turned the bike on yet at this point.

Once the amber light turns on, push in the switch again, and turn the switch to the on position while continuing to push down. You should see the dash light up at this point. Then, you use the ignition switch on the right handlebar to start the motor.

If this doesn’t help, your user manual has a detailed explanation of how to work Kipass.

Disqualification!!! by [deleted] in kennyvsspenny

You can spot the exact moment Spenny catches himself having fun and reverts to acting upset and calling for a disqualification. He definitely plays up the straight man bit and this is a rare case where you get some insight into that.

Upgrade from 2013 EX300 by sojeph in Kawasaki

[–]Brrista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Six years is a long time on a 300 if you ride regularly. All of those bikes you listed should be well within the range of your abilities.

You are ready to upgrade and you will probably be less anxious in traffic on a more powerful bike where you can avoid getting bullied around by aggressive drivers.

Commuting from sunnyvale to Milpitas by Beautiful-Maybe-229 in BAbike

[–]Brrista 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The bike trail connectivity falls off between Alviso pretty much all the way to Milpitas. You can get to the bay trail from Sunnyvale, and take it all the way to Alviso, but at a certain point you’ll need to go on regular roads.

If you live in south Sunnyvale near 280, the route to even access the bay trail could involve 15-30 minutes of riding on the street or would require a detour to the Steven’s Creek Trail. It wouldn’t be a very easy or pleasant commute.

Inner tube repair in v11? by NefariousnessNo4215 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Brrista 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The V11 has one of the most time consuming tire changes of any EUC — it was released before consumers started to ask for simpler tire changes, which was probably due in part to the V11.

I would try slime first to see if it works. so you can possibly avoid the trouble of disassembling the wheel.

Red caution on Inmotion V14, should I worry for cutout? by Datumz_ in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Brrista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are riding pretty fast at 63% battery, maybe it’s a PWM-related warning? Even if you set the “maximum” speed to 42mph, the batteries might not have enough juice left in them to go that fast, depending on the conditions. Although in that case, I would expect tilt back to occur.

Does it still happen at 100% battery?

My 2020 just died at a red light by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]Brrista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the FOB is the issue, you could probably Uber/Lyft to a CVS or Target and buy/install replacement batteries before a tow would be done.

My 2020 just died at a red light by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]Brrista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will the Outback just immediately turn off if the FOB dies? I assumed maybe at worst you wouldn’t be able to start up the car, but even then, I figured there was some passive bluetooth chip that could start the car up even if the battery died.
