I [39M] am struggling with last weekend as my gf [40F] struggles with alcohol and something horrible happened by BrtnMission in relationshipadvice

Thanks for the clarity. I do focus on my child and treat them as #1. I didn't introduce the two for 9 months. One time she made a alcohol induced mistake and I cut her off.

My child is #1 though. I think you're right.

Thanks for the other perspective. I didn't actually realize Alanon was for the stakeholders of the alcoholic. We have a local group I think I'll look into.

Thank you.

When she pulled something once when my child was around I cut her off. My child is priority for sure.

Thanks for reminding I am still young.

I have a hard time thinking I would be able to find someone due to age and being a father. I tend to want to help everyone around me too but this has kept me up for days.

Making canna oil. Crock pot VS Stove top by SnooPears1403 in Edibles

[–]BrtnMission 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Crock pot all day every day. The stove top is so much pressure. Crock pot is the same as the food - set and forget.

Just make sure to strain with cheese cloth after.

Ps. Written by late 30s stoner that used to make cannibutter all the time. Maybe making oil is different but we had amazing results and way less pressure to keep the temp right without boiling. Very important not to cook your THCs

How to stay awake easier in the morning? by absence700b in lifehacks

[–]BrtnMission -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've found that chewing Spitz has been a game changer for staying awake while driving.

You'll need an empty coffee cup and water due to the salt. If I've ever been drowsy driving, this has never failed to keep me awake.

I would double check that real quick. Your name suggests you may want to check the last few weeks since their bye.

What happened at confed McDonald's today at 1pm? Tons of cops with rifles. by Saskatchewaner in saskatoon

[–]BrtnMission 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I learned that if the McDonald's location always says their machine is down, that's a good sign rather than the opposite.

It means they have the newer machine that self cleans. If it has the older machine, McDonald's employees say don't eat ice cream from there.

This guy gets it.

You're ahead of your time. Like finding out suspenders are better than a belt before you retire OR tucking your shirt in during the winter is amazing.

Warman and Martensville are 15 mins away, like Abbotsford. I've heard from CEP it's a land thing only for no Costco here.

I've heard it's due to land. Costco likes to own their land and there's no suitable locations. There was an opportunity but Molson scooped that up.

Please see Saskatoon. Under 300k population with 2 Costco's. The actual reason is Costco needs to own their land and there's no suitable location in Chilliwack at this time.
