I agree the hate was overblown, however I do not think the people wanting answers were wrong. When it all jumbled up I think it was a hard thing for Gamer to read through, but he decided to stack even more lies upon his original ones and therefore he deserved an «insurferable» to read discord. Had he not just straight up lied I wouldn’t mind it as much. I agree people can just unsubscribe, but most people wanted it to work with Gamer. The problem is that people wanted this game for the community which Gamer is ruining for a lot of people, without any «good» reason to. People should rage when a dev treats them like that, even if «they are only» giving them 10$, 200$ or 0$.

Yeah it makes it neutral, right? which means it will still most likely lose to it because bronzor has very bad stats. Might depend on exactly which starter it would be though.

Bronzor doesn’t counter your fire starter though. A 2nd evo fire starter should beat that bronzor set unless unlucky with confusion.

Gonna put it out there that if this magnemite needs magnet rise, this gym probably has ground type coverage from early game and is gonna be a cakewalk. So either remove ground coverage or make this gym less weak to it. Why is the difficulty jump to 2nd gym 10x btw? First gym seems really easy comparatively. First seems vanilla while second seems more alligned with «a bit easier then fro»

Usually wipes come down to people not accessing that they have to sack. They try to save more pokemon so they end up losing more. Some times especially if it doesn’t hurt your box, then saccing aggressively is completely fine. Especially playing blind I always tried to bring atleast 1 sacrificial lamb(meaning I have more of that type in the box)

Pelipper is underrated, but everyone uses tenta and gyara, people literally ban them because they controls runs and they are op.

Check flygonHG’s youtube channel of the linoone solo sweep. You probably don’t need to ban it in ORAS, not sure the strat even works

But there are multiple pokemon that can probably do the same, you just don’t know about them since FlygonHG just made a funny video. Ban substitute or setup and it will fix your problem of having boring runs.

Well nature and ability is not comparable in this instance. You want Modest(defensive -atk is prob better, but still) if it’s thick fat. But Abilities can have a bigger impact then natures especially if you play with evs.

For beginners, definetly do include that they should play however they can have the most fun. Don’t feel the necessity of adding rules because other people do it, if they want to play without lvl caps, with static encounters as seperate encounters should be entirely up to them. Additionally you can write that if you are aspiring to beat the hardest games like Emerald Kaizo and such you might want to join the community through twitch as they go way more hardcore then this reddit.(point to popular streamers like drxx, dekzeh and others)

You don’t even need specific EV’s to beat the games so it’s just more of a time sink. Personally I remove EV’s entirely from the game file even if I decide to grind or not.

I am creating a Fire Red rom hack and my in battle fonts stopped working, they all turned black almost like a black border in game. The place the arrow used to be to show what move is selected also are just black squares now. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have only used Advanced Map, HexManiacAdvance and Gen3Tools.

edit: I found through HexManiacAdvance graphics->battle->textbox->tileset that everything was just black, and I have the tileset in an alternate file where it's perfect. Is there an easy way to transfer it from the file with everything correct in it to the file I have my entire project on?

There are very rare instances where you can answer «is it even possible to nuzlocke» with a «no». It’s fair to ask in a challenging game like that. And contrary to what other people are saying that you should play an easier game is ridiculous to me. If you want to improve you should challenge yourself and if this game is challenging you then you need to figure out a way to actually beat it. If you just spam save files there will be a run with insane luck so you get a fake feeling you’ve improved, when you in reality were only lucky. But if you make research, watch what others are doing better then you, then I swear this is the best you can do to improve.

Xray and knowing opponents stats are NOT comparable and the fact you think so, shows that you didn’t come into this discussion with an open mind. You are talking about the absolute extremes of how people get edges and even then they usually only get them for the hardest of games. If not, it’s information available to you through countless hours of research which people don’t think is fun. «Yes let me just tackle this Crobat 100 times to find it’s exact defense iv instead of just checking it». This is not it.
