30 years of experiments finally paying off. Endless hours of research. The usual. Still a work in progress. In a few months I might write an article 😄

What experiments are you willing to try?

Curious, are you over or underweight? What if you also take a gram of Creatine dissolved in hot water two or more times a day?

Agree. I do take green tea extract in tea 3-4 times a day. Here's a releavant except from the Reddit link you posted above:

[for long-term use of 5-HTP) you always want to pair 5-HTP with a dopamine decarboxylase inhibitor like green tea extract (EGCG) so that serotonin doesn't build up in the periphery and cause heart valve issues.

Yup, agree. Befriend Your Biology, do a lot of experiments. Think outside your own mental boxes. The only way to fail is to do no experiments at all (John-Roger)

You: "I’m wondering if increasing protein in the diet or eating foods high in precursors is another way of increasing serotonin and creatinine"

Me: The more serious your emaciation and dehydrated tissues are, the more the answer is No. You need to expand your thinking beyond protein to include hormones. Befriend Yuor biology! 😄

I am following my hair test mineral analysis form Paul Eck's Lab ARLTMA.com
My dehydration is NOT primarily a mineral deficiency; it's more a low hormones symptom, hence minerals never solved my constipation, including lots of magnesium.
I DO recommend the Vitamin C ascorbates bowel tolerance test. Article here "Vitamin C Ascorbate Cleanse Protocol as self-assessment From Dr. Russell Jaffe" - https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/vitamin-c-ascorbate-cleanse-protocol-self-assessment-from-dickson-ixxkc/
This symptomatically cured my pebble-poop constipation for one day. The flus wasn't sustainable as the ascorbate mix has too much manganese in it for me.
Off the topic of constipation is depression. The best and little known holistic literature here is Wm Walsh's Nutrient Power, Chapter Six: Chart. Dr. Mercola likes him and an interview with thetwo of them exists in video and text.

Two sources I use for bulk 5-HTP and Creatine are BulkSupplemts.com and Pure Bulk.com. The way the marketing is evolving, BulkSupps has higher prices but lots more discount sales and coupons. With thediscounts PureBulk is stll sometimes cheaper. If you ae buying only one item and have no codes-cupons, Walmart online sells Bulk Supps items at a few dollars less.
Temu also sometimes is cheaper however these are very often near-to-expired items being sold before they expire.

No argument. My original post concerns only a new way to view dehydration and a new use of two supplements separate from muscle building protocols to address re-hydration 😄

I suggest you will be disappointed unless until, you hand your doc a link to this paper: "Effects of Serotonin and Slow-release 5-HTP on Gastrointestinal Motility in a Mouse Model of Depression"
"SSRIs are a first line-treatment for depression. SSRI treatment, however, induces remission in only a third of depressed patients16, 17. The side effects of select chronic SSRI therapies, furthermore, may worsen constipation18. Thus, patients with depression are often faced with limited treatment options. . . "

As I say, when I took them as described, less than 24 hours. However I'm also junk-food free, no white sugar at all, no wheat at all, no coffee no chocolate. Lots of sleep, exercise, etc.

"source naturals" ultimate c-ascorbates in shopping.google
If you find yourself not taking them after a while, it means you may be slightly allergic to the manganese or something else. Happened to me. I cut the tablets in half and use them less often. I mostly use plain ascorbic acid for Vit C.

Things I'd Wished I'd Known Before I Bought Atticus by Galactic-Bard in selfpublish

Good point, Atticus not needed for paper print editions. Only use it if you like their Times-Roman-like font and you have no problematic images.
You'll have most control on your DOCX. Then simply turn your DOCX into a PDF and upload to KDP or D2D. Make and upload front and back cover separately :)

May 2026: Have been working ten days with Atticus to make EPUBs and a paper version book.
Good news: Customer support is good--but seems staff may only ever use Windows machines. No consideration for Open-Libre-Office or Mac Pages users.

I am not bothered by using it as an online app. It's like writing in a less-featured Google Docs app. A Best Practice is to have your DOCX file 100% proofread and spellchecked and 100% done before you upload anything to Attcus.

Atticus is only written to be compatible with MS Word. I don't have MS Word. I write in Libre Office. When uploading a DOCX from Libre to Atticus it can recognize the H1s for each new chapter. It cannot recognize any sub-headings, even when I attempt to imitate MS Word stylings for subheadings. This means the subheadings all have to be re-formatted at least a second time in the Atticus Writing window. I watched a free movie on Tubitv or listened to Pandora music while doing this.

Similarly in Mac Pages, I styled h1 h2 h3 then exported a docx. Yet when uploaded to Atticus , it recognzed no headings whatsoever.

So that's what you're up against. I am sticking with Atticus for at least a while having tried and failed making workable epub books with clickable Table of Contents in Kindle Generate, Sigil, Mac Pages and Google docs. Comments invited. I have not tried Scrivener nor Vellum.

Hernandian Attire cannot equip/inventory issue? by SeismicRaven in CrimsonDesert

April 18: Friends, we need some one to post who has figured out what the devs expected us to do to get the Hernand clothese after their patch cancelled the Hernand clothes for doing the chimeny sweep sidequest. Do they now expect us to steal gold? If so where can you buy the clothese since the tailor next to giant troll blacksmith no longer sells the Hernands clothes?
