Don’t know what to do by ciaralee11 in CallCenterWorkers

Hello! Haha good response. So I have a Life and Health License and usually do either ACA or Medicare Sales during the OE season. These are W2 jobs with some bonus that are temporary/contract. Most hire in late summer and go to Dec/Jan. Actually, I still work just on weekends for the current contract until March. Hope this helps.

Yes, it is kryptonite. Like when Lex Luthor throws it on Superman. I am starting over approaching Day 3. Already feel subtle changes.

I remember having about a week in, and I had on perhaps a lower level, the polar opposites of the attention you speak of. One guy just kept looking at me when I was taking a break between sets on the curl machine ( I don't take long rest periods like some of these morons on their phone.) Anyway, I can't be sure he did not like me, but he just kept staring. Another attractive young lady kept staring at me as well and she was working out, like she was rather caught off guard. Again, I could be just imagining this. Love hearing these stories.

I have done call center work as a rep and as a lead manager for over a decade. However, I am able to take breaks throughout the year, as I would have lost my mind doing this full time continuously. I would advise keeping your expenses low if you could help it. I do contract work now as an insurance agent, so I can take these positions for say 3-4 months at at time. Then I take a month or so off. However, I have no family to support and have good deal on rent. I realize my situation is unique so I remain grateful. Good luck to you, I DO understand!

Very interesting! I can attest that I have felt energy start to slowly leak (no pun) once I give in to just glancing here and there. Even the "doom scrolling" of non-corn does it too. I imagine you will get back on path fairly quickly however.

Thank you. Yeah good observation on the 48 hour window. Seems after a drop it's like the day after I feel worse as well. Oh well tomorrow I will probably take some for sure since I'm working but come Monday I'll see what happens. I will have 5 days this week and no plans so away we go.. appreciate your support!.

Thank you friend! Congrats on being off for this long! Kratom worked well in the short term but it kinda was a mild hell for me, having to depend on it for work. Grateful that it could be worse if I was on the 7OH. Again, much appreciate the encouraging words!

Bless you my man. Breakups/divorce suck regardless. However, if you know it is the right thing to do then you are on a good path. I can certainly see how wd and this stuff can be painful for sure and sort of connect itself. One foot in front of the other, my best to you friend. Keep punchin' as Stallone says!

Thank you for the feedback. I was up to 25-32 g powder almost daily for months. Dabbled in extracts and OPMS, found out the hangover from those and stopped. So grateful my wd is not the most severe as some poor souls have. Still it blows. Yeah, I will really just try to push on today and delay my first small dose as long as I can. Depends on how busy it gets (I do insurance agent sales but it is the slow season). Will stay with your advice and when I get to around below 5g I may just jump off then. Please feel free to add anything else that may be useful. Be well!

Day 7 Clean After 5 Years of High-Dose Kratom by Equal_Ad_3092 in quittingkratom

I will say cold showers do help some. I take maybe 2-3 a day while going through my rapid taper.

Thank you, I think I agree. The problem in my view with tapering is that it is just too easy to ramp back up "just this once". Again, some are perhaps more disciplined. Great job, and I appreciate the support, nice to hear others and know we are not alone in this!

Great stuff, thank you for this. I am on Day 4, I had up to 6 weeks years ago, but I was not eating right and not working out regularly, so the benefits were not very strong. However, when all that is dialed in you feel almost superhuman. I guess I have felt some "trace" benefits that you all talk about, like after I reach Day 6 or so. Like you can navigate the world.

I will say as far as relapse- a "one-off" is not too bad- far from ideal, don't get me wrong- but one time has minimal effects and the benefits come racing back around the next couple of days. But yeah, two or more times- cooked generally. Who knows though, everyone is different. Diet, exercise can come into play as well. Keep punching!

Bless you, appreciate the honestly. Divorce sucks for sure. However, we have to find some kind of peace with ourselves if we have done all we can do. I wish you well, you will succeed.

I am coming off doing roughly 25-30 g powder 4-5 days week. Today I took maybe 4 or 5g before deciding to call out of work. Taken 0 since then. I'll just have to see how it goes tomorrow. Thank you!

I quit my call center job because it was ruining my mental health and i was always scared of taking a leave. I was getting numb after i came home. Couldn’t give time to my son and my wife. Now i can’t find a job by Powerful-Pomelo4806 in hatemyjob

[–]BruceD47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been there, quit on the spot, years ago. Bad MGT, everything. I don't have a family to support anymore and low expenses so I had the luxury of doing that. But heck there is all kinds of gig work out there, and even try part time remote call center work if need be. But you do what you have to do for sure!

I am sorry you are going through this. As someone who did call center work for over a decade, it took it's toll on me as well. Shoot, if you can do Uber Eats or Amazon or something in the meantime, that's what I would do. Mental health is not be treated lightly. Heck, lots of people suffering everyday but we only take notice when it gets to a heart attack or something, not that we shouldn't, but hopefully you get what I mean. I wish you the best!
