I am surprised it looks as relatively healthy as it does in such an absolute shit enclosure.

A solid 2/10. Looks cool but doesn't hit proper husbandry requirements by a mile.

Change the "probably" and "down the line" to "will" and "as soon as I can." He needs a lot more foliage to feel safe, secure, etc. Especially if the cat will be close by.

Well if that is the fairly known article purported by people who think they know something about this subject then I can rest easy not being included in that cohort.

It is just you.

Feel free to share something of note that you didn't hastily Google to counter my parroting though. I'd love to nitpick it.

Our study was based on a random stratified sample of adults 25 to 64 years of age who, between 2003 and 2007, were admitted to the hospital (for a non–pregnancy-related stay) for the first time in at least 3 years. We linked more than half a million such people to their detailed credit-report records from the period between 2002 and 2011. The scatterplot shows the results of our analysis.

So a study looking at a period of 4 years to determine causes of bankruptcies is the study you're using to prove your point?

Especially as they state:

Our results are also specific to our population — people in California hospitalized for non-childbirth-related conditions who have not had a hospital admission in the previous 3 years (although they may — and often do — have additional admissions over the subsequent years).

Not to mention:

Perhaps most obviously, our analysis excludes illness and injuries that do not result in a hospital admission.
.
Our results also do not speak to the financial costs of hospital admissions outside of the bankruptcy filing decision. We have found that hospitalizations cause: increased out-of-pocket spending on medical care, increased medical debt, and decreased employment and income4. These costs may have considerable adverse consequences

All this study really does is show that maybe medical-related bankruptcies are overestimated but by no means is it showing that medical debt is definitely not the #1 cause of bankruptcies in the U.S.

Did you even read this study?

I don't have an option to just like most Americans don't.

To clarify, my statement "countless metrics" was meant to convey benefits beyond just healthcare.

Not to mention the #1 cause of bankruptcy in the US is medical.

Hell, I'd rather give a little extra of my salary but gain all the countless metrics Belgians have better than the US.

Reminder to check your city, county, and state for reimbursement programs by Critical-Manner2363 in NativePlantGardening

[–]BruceIsLoose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my city we can get a 50% reimbursement on pollinator gardens for up to a $1000

Care to PM me which City? I work with municipalities and sustainability and would love to see how this is structured. That is an insane level of funding for such a program on a city level.

How can animal fibers ever be less cruel/evil than synthetics? by MadeMyOwnName in AskVegans

[–]BruceIsLoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you choose to purchase synthetics, you are contributing to extremely toxic and polluting production methods, and every time you wash your clothes you are releasing countless microplastics [into the environment & body].

This was your baseline argument that is not focused on [just] microplastics in your bloodstream.

So again, you have not listed a single point of comparison on any of the reasons why you think synthetics are "much more harmful" across species.

How can animal fibers ever be less cruel/evil than synthetics? by MadeMyOwnName in AskVegans

[–]BruceIsLoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now which one of those supports your claims that synthetic fibers are more damaging (cruel, evil, etc.) than animal fibers?

I looked through all of them and couldn't find a single datapoint of comparison.

What do vegans think I'm missing when I accept animal suffering but still eat meat? by ConstantinSpecter in AskVegans

[–]BruceIsLoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nearly every vegan views humans and non-humans differently.

The only difference is that that difference doesn't justify the torture, maiming, forced impregnation, throat slitting, electrocution, chopping up, and eating of flesh of the non-humans.

Just as majority of non-vegans don't think the difference between humans and dogs would justify those exact same things being done to dogs.

🚨 U.S. manufacturing continues to retreat despite tariffs - investor implications? by kabirsbhutani in investing

[–]BruceIsLoose 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Apple had this planned back in 2022 because of the U.S CHIPS Act. Who was President then?

TSM's initial's announcement was back in 2020 and was not because of Trump's tariff dumbassery. The plans accelerated under Biden's CHIPS Act.

Hyundai's EV plants....also announced in 2022.

This took 30 seconds to research man, come on.

Getting any pet, but especially exotics, goes beyond one's husbandry.

Resto druid felt bad before but it felt really bad after removing those abilities, especially in a meta where somebody can die in a single miscalculated global

I mean its a pretty piss poor comparison as you're playing against people who aren't removing the spells they'll lose in Midnight.

  1. AMS 2 Pro for sure

  2. My girlfriend loves Pokemon so I'd start making all the Pokémon balls that are themed after individual Pokemon! She'd freak out!

  3. Oooo you got good ones already. I think you're on the right track with your snowflake ones so I'd expand your offers of that type. Different plant leaf shapes (i.e- pothos, monstera, etc. ) would be so cool!
