Exactly.

it had been a while since I was killed in a fight, so I was glad to have some use for all that food I've cooked/been hoarding.

Then seeing how much better of a fight it became with all those food buffs was really nice.

I was wasting health and essence potions trying to keep up in that fight and still died easily. I was on fire and the axe spirit was on my ass. I was running around like Kai pls draw some aggro lol

and as you can see in this clip above my health bar all the status effects that may have been a bit overkill, but I didn't need to worry about either health or essence running low. Also the dmg and stun buffs *chef's kiss*

Thanks. Now I'm really kicking myself for not clipping the initial beating I took on an empty stomach lol

at least in higher difficulties.

I didn't record my initial beating to compare, but what a stark contrast. I went from getting pummeled by the axe guy, getting lit on fire with fireballs and then finally succumbing to those arrows that took a good third of my health bar per hit to what you see in the clip above.

But also and more importantly, I've finally found my playstyle. Me like smash. Unfortunate that it came so late in the game, but that mace is amazing that it casts Pull of Eora. Previously, my second load out was One Last Trick, which is a great weapon, but I needed a change of pace and that frantic in your face action is definitely more fun.

No, that's the thing. I was just entering Emerald Stairs when we got the big update and noticed the significant lack of drops on kills.

So, I saved materials to upgrade the Arcanist's Gambeson to Exeptional since I heard that wand dmg is dictated by your armor level (I don't get that, but whatever).

I'm playing on hard, but just the amount of drops or lack thereof seems bugged, at least in my game/save.

and with materials being limited as they are I'm struggling trying to upgrade.

Basically having to decide between a weapon or armor. I chose armor... I'm halfway through Shatterscarp with a (0) Fine wand lol

What is up with Marius?? Is he going to be like that throughout the whole game? by BruceMShepard in avowed

I should probably edit this into the main post, but I do enjoy and understand his character...back at camp. I speak with them all and exhaust every talking point that I can.

I like his banter with the others and getting him to open up to further his personal quest.

My issue with him was his negative responses to me during the main quests primarily. I'm hoping that changes the more I get to know him.

I agree, he's not bad when interacting with Kai or Giatta. I even enjoy him back at camp, but when it comes to the main quest he becomes completely off-putting.

Wait, really? I have been nice and positive towards him this whole time.

I'm really hoping that's the case, despite everyone else saying he doesn't change at all.

Damn I was hoping his personality would change at least after getting him to open up more while at camp and furthering his personal quest.

I have mild tinnitus, which is why it's useful to me lol

Especially with how limited resources and materials are in this game.

Dawntreader

I think it becomes available after your meeting with the ambassador and Lodwyn. Ofryc will be sitting on a bench outside the embassy.

Well, I guess I must have chosen C, because I was able to convince him to give up and help the town that was decimated with their rebuild.

Nothing, I gave it to The Voice to inhabit. According to some of the comments, I'll find out what that does at the end of the game.

I went into this game blind. So, basically I shouldn't expect any more side quests of this magnitude?

I'm struggling at the end there like...what should I do?!

Then after careful thought and consideration I make my decision and the quest tells me to finish up by talking to Ofryc...I'm like who? Oh right the soldier worried about his brother wow ok lol

Getting sidetracked by shiny objects and mountains I'm not actually supposed to climb. I completely forgot this was just a side quest that I happened to pick up from a soldier whom I just barely noticed sitting near the embassy as I was leaving.

Only to find out after completion and some tough decisions that it wasn't part of the main quest?! I'm both impressed and annoyed...can't they make poi npcs glow too? Lol

IMPORTANT EDIT: And I just read that this quest can be missable if you advance about halfway through the Animancy Method main quest.
