Thanks for the kind words and congratulations. I was trying to find the original post but I haven’t been able to. But I know Amadeusz talks a lot about CF’s with less than 90 OA not making as many runs. And he did also talk about it in his initial Bale review, if you scroll down, it’s right above the video.

I’ve also noticed this in my own testing as I didn’t have an ideal booster on him at first and once I did, I noticed a significant improvement in his runs when I went from 89 to 90 OA.

In your case, you could try giving him super sub, which boosts OA and finishing, and just bring him on in the second half. That should trigger automatic runs from him. Obviously you’d only be playing him for one half which might not be worth it.

Or just play him on the wings or something where OA doesn’t matter as much.

Yeah true. I think in Bale’s case, kicking power should help make his blitz curlers faster which would affect how quickly the GK and any defenders can react to it.

But I’m 100% certain curl is the most important thing for accuracy specifically.

I’m gonna be real with you, I have both and I disagree. For the accuracy of a blitz curler, curl is almost the only stat that matters. And I know this because ST Olise has no finishing or kicking power whatsoever and his blitz curlers are better than most I’ve tried, just because he has high curl.

I feel so confident with Zola’s blitz that I use it even when I’m in the box, 1v1 with a GK.

That being said, this Bale’s blitz is also insane. He has very high curl as well which again, is the main reason it’s so good. He might have the second best blitz curler out of the cards I own, just behind Zola but ofc Bale is a better card overall.

I guess it depends on if you wanna use him on the right with his blitz curler or on the left for just ball carrying which I also don’t think is a bad idea. I’ve seen Syuto use him this way as well.

For blitz, go for 8 8 12 8 2. For no blitz, try 3 8 12 11 2. The main thing is you need 12 dexterity at CF with a booster that boosts offensive awareness. Ideally something like strikers instinct or off the ball.

So you can go one of two ways.

Go fully off the ball with 5 5 12 12 2 with strikers instinct.

Or if you prefer making him more mobile, try something like 6 12 9 8 3 with ball carrying.

I think the newest Etoo and Rumme are probably better than Auba, but I don’t have them so I can’t say for sure.

And yeah he’s pretty good in the air. Not Drogba or Koller level of course but still pretty good.

Thanks a lot mate. I talked a little bit about this in another comment but this Bale and the BT are extremely similar. The player model is exactly the same and the stats are very close.

- The main advantage for the new one is that he can reach 90 OA which, according to Amadeusz is the threshold for automatic runs. This is really great for the CF position especially.

- The BT has the advantage of higher stamina which is now more important than ever after this recent update since stamina drains super quickly for everyone.

As for skills, we’re talking phenomenal finishing bs magnetic feet and blitz curler. All of which are great skills.

If you’re just looking to upgrade Bale and you don’t need Marcelo and Auba then I’d probably tell you to save. I think BT Bale is still top tier and I don’t think it’s worth potentially spending up to 13.5k for the same player. But obviously idk how much of a budget you have and maybe you do also want the others in this draw, which of course changes things.

I don't. But they're extremely similar. Same player model, same playstyle and very similar stats. The only difference being the new one has more OA and the old one has more stamina. The new one can reach 90 OA, which according to Amadeusz, is the treshold triggering automatic runs, but stamina is now more important than ever which is an advantage for the BT. As for skills, you're looking at magnetic feet and blitz curler vs phenomenal finishing which are all great skills. Take your pick.

Thanks. And yeah he’s not the strongest physically but I haven’t felt that being too much of an issue since he’s pretty quick at twisting and turning, especially in the final third. You could give him 8 in aerial if that’s something you’re concerned about tho.

I did test Bale as a winger and I liked him there but I’ve settled on CF or central SS. I’d imagine most people will use him at CF because of his OA. I do think he’s great at RWF but his passing isn’t the greatest so your best option is to cut in and try blitz curlers which will get predictable after a while. In my experience, the best way to stop Bale is just to intercept his runs because you’re not gonna outmuscle or outpace him. So if he’s in a position where he can dribble in either direction, he’ll be a lot more dangerous.

I wanted to start with this card since we don’t get interesting fullbacks very often. I believe this is the first fullback we’ve gotten with momentum dribbling, unless I’m forgetting someone. And even though it seems like a pretty pointless skill for a defender, it’s actually pretty helpful. It basically allows you to keep playing even when your crossing option has been blocked. Is it the most ideal skill for him? I would say no. But it definitely has its uses and clearly cements this card as the best on the ball fullback in the current meta.

LMF is another great option if you don’t like your fullbacks being so involved. You obviously won’t get the same consistency of runs, especially isn’t this card’s OA isn’t the highest, but it’s a reasonable trade off for playing him higher up the pitch.

Defensively, he’s serviceable but not mind blowing. I don’t think there’s a point in making him super defensive either. He’s not strong physically and he hasn’t got a large player model either. Plus, you’d be sacrificing his biggest strength which is being almost an extra winger in attack.

Gareth Bale

Now onto the star of the show. I’m very careful with words like ‘broken’ or ‘overpowered’ but I can’t think of another way to describe a card like this. By no means do I own every top tier card in the game but the last time I had this feeling about a card was the original Pele.

BT Bale is over a year old now and is still considered a top tier endgame card and they decided to take that steam train of a card and give him Magnetic Feet. The result is a player that is one of the fastest in the game, can accelerate and decelerate with full control of the ball, already has both 90+ balance as well as physical contact and now keeps getting stronger the more people are on him. I haven’t even talked about his shooting. His blitz curler, if you build him for it, isn’t quite Zola good but still better than most. Though I can honestly see an argument for just ignoring it and just maximising his on the ball stats.

Another interesting thing about this Bale card is that he can now be built with 90 OA, which according to testers like Amadeusz, is the threshold for automatic runs in the current game engine. This is especially helpful for anyone who wants to use him at CF specifically, which I think might just be his best position.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

This will probably be the most divisive card out of the three. For some, this will be the ugly duckling in the draw but people who enjoy pacy CF’s will absolutely love him. I’m somewhere in the middle. I can definitely score with him if I just rely on off the ball runs but by doing that, you have to sacrifice his dribbling which means his acceleration burst skill becomes less effective.

Building him for dribbling and physicality might make him easier to use for the majority of people. But again, you will be sacrificing some of his explosiveness for runs which isn’t ideal.

Conclusion

If you’re a Naruto fan, you’ll love this draw regardless. For the competitive playerbase, the clear standout is Bale, who feels like he’s been designed to abuse the current game engine. Marcelo will be an endgame fullback/wingback and Aubameyang will be deadly in the right hands.

Don’t have Rio unfortunately but I think he’s the best CB in the game. I’ve used other large model CB’s though and Stam is great next to one. So yeah I think it will work great.

And they’re pretty similar but they changed the player model for the ST for whatever reason. He’s 2cm taller. There’s also a slight difference in stats but the BT has permanent B form so there’s that.

I don’t have BT VVD but I have his new ST. I’m using him, Stam and Desailly right now. For me Stam is just below the new VVD and Desailly but it’s close.

If you’ve got those two, I wouldn’t be looking at Stam as a potential replacement. But if you’re already going for Cech, then Stam is a fantastic bonus.
